Cool. I'll just list Profile 2.0 blu ray players then:
          $126 for the newest Toshiba
          http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-BDX200...927604&sr=8-13

$130 for LG Networking blu ray player
          http://www.amazon.com/LG-BD300-Netwo...927929&sr=8-34

          $130 for a Phillips
          http://www.amazon.com/Philips-BDP501...928071&sr=8-18

Don't think you could go wrong with any of these. Personally, I'd get the LG b/c there's other stuff to stream like pandora, you tube, etc

Awesome man, thanks. I like the LG player.. it does Netflix (which I might be going back to eventually). I wonder if it'll do Blockbuster streaming? We've been taking advantage of Blockbuster lately since theres one just a mile or so away. So far no complaints from them, cheaper monthly plan and we get our discs in the mail 2 days after sending one in. Same shipping time as Netflix.

Thanks for the heads up on Karate Kid I. I wasn't sure if I was gonna pre order them separately or the boxset so I was gonna wait, but 10 bucks is hard to pass up for KK1.

Yup. I dropped my pre-order on the box set which was $28.

I can live without part 2 for now.

Part I and II are both coming out at the same time--later this month. No word on KK Part III yet.

Avatar is $15.09 shipped for a used copy on gohastings. $15 was my price point, so I jumped on it.

You ever order from there? I assume you have since your recommending them but Ive never heard of them before. Avatar at that price is somewhat tempting as Im sure it looks awesome in blu-ray but at the same time I really didnt care for the story at all so Im kinda on the fence.

For anyone that has seen this on blu-ray, is it really top notch in terms of picture quality?

EDIT- Damn, they have some really good prices on their used blu-ray movies at that website. I wish I had known about this before as the prices are almost to good to be true.

Actually, I was going to ask you GAMECOCK if it comes with the DVD as well? If not, I believe getting it at $19.99 was a "better end of the deal" for me as I sold the DVD for $10.

I've ordered from there twice; I had a shipment of five Blu-rays come at one time (all used or previously viewed) as well as an order or twelve used BD's at once. All of the movies shipped to me separately so they came at their earliest possible times, and they're all fine. The only thing is you don't know what kind of case you're going to get in terms of condition, but all but one were pretty much fine... one of them was one of those sticky ones, but like my LGF movies, I have a feeling that's just the way it was initially packaged.

The Blu-rays themselves have all worked though, as they're pretty scratch-resistant anyway. But good-golly, are they ever cheap! And the more you bulk together, the less shipping cost that each movie you add onto the list is. In short, this was one of my orders back in November, according to the e-mail:

                              Items:
                              Quantity:1,Death Race Previously Viewed - Blu-ray $6.53
                              Quantity:1,The Uninvited Used - Blu-ray $5.81
                              Quantity:1,Into the Wild Used - Blu-ray $9.31
                              Quantity:1,Wedding Crashers Previously Viewed - Blu-ray $9.10
                              Quantity:1,Eagle Eye Used - Blu-ray $6.05
                              Quantity:1,Office Space Previously Viewed - Blu-ray $11.90
Quantity:1,The Curious Case of Benjamin Button Previously Viewed - Blu-ray $7.97
                              Quantity:1,Wanted Previously Viewed - Blu-ray $6.28
                              Quantity:1,Role Models Used - Blu-ray $6.91
                              Quantity:1,Valkyrie Previously Viewed - Blu-ray $6.32
                              Quantity:1,Fast & Furious Previously Viewed - Blu-ray $7.81
                              Quantity:1,The Bank Job Used - Blu-ray $7.92

                              Merchandise:$91.91
                              Tax: $0.00
                              Shipping/Handling:$13.99
                              Total:$105.90
Twelve movies for $106 ain't bad at all, considering Office Space was at about $12 on its own and then including over $1 per movie shipping when it came down to it. But if you order just one movie, the shipping cost is pretty high. I forget if it was closer to $2.99 or $5.99, but it was worth it to order them together.

Avatar on Blu-ray is, bar-none, of the best looking Blu-rays you'll ever see. I mean the only other ones that look as good are the Pixar movies. You'll be floored by the sound as well (I do believe however I had a shortening on my center channel very quickly during the cafeteria scene, which lasts all but twenty seconds anyway).

I trust the site completely when it comes to Used/Previously Viewed content arriving at my doorstep, however I wouldn't get anything used unless it was Blu-ray anyway (I suppose that includes PS3 games). Definitely wouldn't trust CD's to work or their cases to be any good, but you can get music anywhere else, anyway. This is all about the Blu-rays, baby!

I don't always shop online, but when I do... I prefer GoHastings. Stay resourceful, my friends.
