I'm looking to add A League of Their Own and The Santa Clause 1&2 to my collection this Tuesday. Along with Madagascar 3.

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
For all you guys out there who go on mass buying sprees for BR. Do you really end up watching even half of them and out of those even a quarter more than once? Or is it more of a collecting fetish?
I'm saying this as I used to hoard DVD's and ended up never watching most of them even once unless they were blind buys. Almost half my library would still have the wrapper on it. I'm more selective with my BR purchases where I only buy ones that I know I will watch multiple times or is a pretty good movie but has steller PQ and AQ which usually applies to action movies and never do blind buys. I find I'm saving a lot of money this way and it's more satisfying to me to have a library (and a lot easier to store) that only contain movies that I really like instead of filled with ones I kinda liked but i bought because they were cheap.Comment

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
So, yes, I conceivably buy the movies that I intend on giving multiple viewings. And yes, I have already watched every movie owned on BD after having bought it, even when I buy multiple at a time. However, with a growing "collection," it makes it harder to give movies multiple views unless you have a specific reason.
It's a good problem to have, though. Since I live with my family and have several visitors (especially when I was still in college for the past several years), I'm always down to watch a movie with people if they want to choose one from my list, which is another good reason to have a big selection.
I'd say there's a slight fetish involved, though... but I didn't/wouldn't do it with DVD's as I am with Blu-rays, because damn do they look and sound good!Last edited by Blzer; 10-17-2012, 09:56 PM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I'm a collector. Love watching movies. I mostly now buy movies I know my family & friends will enjoy. Movies that will offer mutiple viewings @ any given time.
I also have my personal preferences that I pick-up that I know the family & friends have no interest in watching. (Mostly Horror & really disturbing movies IE: "I Saw the Devil"Comment

Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

It is definitely fun to have a big movie collection because there will always be something to choose from. I also have such a big collection because I saved a ton of money in doing so. I never pay full price for a Blu-ray except on very rare occasions. The Best Buy Upgrade & Save program is heaven for Blu-ray enthusiasts. I would say about 90% of my collection has come from that program since they started it. I've pretty much filtered out most of my DVD movies except some TV shows and movies that are not currently on Blu-ray.
Wal-Mart and Best Buy $7.99 bins are great, and I've also gotten good deals on movies at Target too. If I'm looking for a movie that is near impossible to find in a store, I'll pick it up on Amazon.
I guess in some ways you could call collecting Blu-ray movies a hobby, but if you make your purchases smartly and cheaply by looking for the good deals, then it is well worth it.
Here's my current collection.
