Saving Private Ryan is $12.99 on Amazon.com at the moment. Lowest price I've seen on that blu ray.

No, I've had that one since Black Friday last year when I got it for 10 bucks at Best Buy.

My official 250th Blu-ray title is one of my favorites of all-time: The Hustler - 50th Anniversary Digibook

PSA: gohastings.com is running a 3 for $21 sale (ends up being $27.84 shipped) going on used/PV blu rays.

What makes this a good sale is that it includes boxed sets and tv shows as well. Most of these have been gobbled up though.

I went ahead and got the following seasons/boxed setd: Lie To Me, Planet Earth, Life, Stargate Universe 1.5, Smallville, Vampire Diaries

Passed on seasons of My Name is Earl and Rescue Me.

I can honestly say that out of the 260 (yes, I just had another splurge on Amazon last night) Blu-ray titles in my collection that not a single one of them was used when I purchased it.

Bestbuy print ad this week mentioned new in store blu-ray discount bins with 50+ movies at $7.99.

My brother is the same way, but I could care less if the price is right. The discs have that scratch resistant coating so buying used isn't a big deal 99% of the time, IMO.

My collection is probably 60% new, 40% used. 100% play perfectly.

I saw one of those bins a couple of weeks ago. If it's the same films I saw then that I will see this week, I'll pass. Some of the movies were fine, it's just that I already owned them if they were.

This totally sucks that when I first saw this e-mail, I kind of passed on it because of the title (showing "The Most Amazing Blu-Ray Release Ever"), plus the fact that my air card was bugging out on me at the time and I was impatient with it loading up. Really could've taken advantage of some of those box sets, assuming they were still there before the sale even came up (Harry Potter, etc.).

Either way, I still want to take advantage of this deal, so I'm trying to pick up the following used items: House Season 6, Unstoppable, The Lincoln Lawyer. When I apply the promotional code though, it doesn't seem to be working. Anyone know what's going on here? I'm certain I chose all of them as the "Used" items, and the promotion doesn't expire for another five days.

                        Thanks.

HBO needs to get the ball rolling on releasing some of their earlier shows on blu-ray. Well...so long as they can do better than Sopranos season 1.

Crap. I totally should've reconnected online and jumped on this as soon as I got the e-mail. Would've gotten all of the Horky Porky movies and a couple more TV shows. What a steal.

Not exactly true as of 2PM today b/c I just ordered: another season of smallville, a season of entourage and season 1 of the universe. I passed on a few that I either already had or no interest in (Robocop Trilogy)

Some tv shows/boxed sets that are back in stock are not part of the deal anymore though.... True Blood seasons 2 and 3, Band of brothers, etc
