Does anybody know why Life Aquatic is not on blu-ray? I see other Wes Anderson movies (Rushmore vs. The Royal Tennebaums -which one?), but I've been waiting on Life Aquatic for a long time now.

Most Criterion Blu-rays are loaded with special features. Some of the booklets included with them are over 50 pages as well. I have 70+ of them in my collection, trust me.
But yes, they are the best home video distribution company in the world and it's not even close. They always have top notch video and audio grades for their releases and have the best people in the world restoring and remastering their titles. Not to mention they also have the best library of films as well. They are still an independent company at the end of the day though, which is why they have to charge more than the big film studios to turn a profit.Comment

Ah yes, the booklets. I forgot about those. Those are pretty cool.
I also forgot about the commentaries done by historical film critics for the older ones so I obviously don't know what I'm talking about apparently.

You should also check out Life, which is the sequel to Planet Earth. Make sure to get the UK version though (don't worry, it's region free) as it is in 1080p and has the awesome David Attenborough narration. The inferior US version is in 1080i and has the terrible Oprah Winfrey narration.Comment

Well that's disappointing. Planet Earth still amazes me with its picture.

FYI: On Amazon, if you pick up 21 Jump St. on blu ray for $12 you get $10 movie cash for This is the End and White House Down.
Even if you already have the blu ray.... $12 for $20 in Movie Money is still a decent deal.
Also, POTC: On Stranger Tides 5 disc 3D combo is $12.90 crazy low price for a Disney 3D combo packLast edited by GAMEC0CK2002; 06-13-2013, 04:46 PM.Comment

While it is slightly dated now, it is still fantastic and one of my favorite titles in my collection.
