If you were impressed by those examples just wait until you put a blu ray in. Go to a Redbox ASAP and rent whatever is available on blu ray.

Well don't rent whatever. Some of the old movies aren't that much of an upgrade. Get like The Avengers or Avatar or something likek that. Or any of the recent major animated releases.

Now that I think it of it,sound quality is much better too. Get Lawrence of Arabia.

Should be, but only if your audio gear can take advantage.

Had to exchange my copy of Dredd 3D at Best Buy. Wouldn't play on my LG blu ray player...apparently Lions Gate had a bad batch of Dredd discs.

I remember Saw IV (also LGF) wasn't playing in my PS3 once a couple of years ago, so I chalked it up to being the disc itself, and I flew it across the room (for leisure, not in anger) because I just wanted to have fun with a disc. Needless to say, I certainly did have fun.

I rebought it a bit later, but didn't try playing the film until about a few months ago then. It still doesn't work.

I guess the combination with my PS3 as a BDP and that film just didn't run well, and it wasn't a BD-Live issue since I disable that feature on start-up.

Was kinda surprised it was hassle-free. CSR printed out my receipt and told me to grab a new copy. Took the wrapper off and swapped them out.

Thinking back on it....a guy was exchanging his copy of Dredd the day I bought mine.

Just a heads up if you don't mind used blu rays. familyvideo.com has some great prices. new releases (used) for $10 or less Not sure what condition they will arrive in so YMMV (1.99 flat shipping charge for any sized order)

                        I ordered:
The Man with the Iron Fists $10
                        Flight $10
                        Skyfall $10
                        Savages $6
                        Premium Rush $7
                        Lawless $7

At these prices, I'm not expecting DVDs or unused digital copies. As long as it has the cover art. Already have some spare blu ray cases.

Wow that site is amazing. I need to get around to watching the movies I have bought. I was thinking the other day how I needed to find the last Transformers for cheap, then opened up my blu ray tub and there it was. I had it already haha.

yep. i'm to the point where i have to check my blu ray bins before buying anything other than new releases. i've unintentionally doubled dipped on more than 1 occasion (donating those to the library).
