I love the rants that Tom Cruise's character does. Classic!

Yeah Cruise did a great job on that character!...
I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

It was funny in Tropic Thunder, but I don't think its worth a whole movie.
            Agreed.

What a disappointment. Maybe I'm just too old, but outside of The Hangover, none of these new comedies have made me laugh much at all...certainly no where near as much as I did when I first saw Clerks and Dumb and Dumber.

Well I think Clerks and Dumb & Dumber are way better than Tropic Thunder and The Hangover as well. It's tough to stack up to those two IMO.

I liked Tropic Thunder and The Hangover but found them both to be kind of overrated.

I like Clerks, but Dumb and Dumberer isn't a GOAT for me. I really enjoy watching Tropic Thunder, but I don't think it would be a top 5 of recent comedies for me.

                    Random off-topic question...

...what would be your top 5 comedies in the past, 3 years, let's say?

                      3 years...hmm...

                      Forgetting Sarah Marshall
                      Hot Fuzz
                      Funny People
                      Knocked Up
                      Zack and Miri

I think I would throw I Love You, Man above Tropic Thunder as well but TT would probably be the 7th on that list then. If it was 5-10 years, that list would look a whole lot different.

I think I'd put 'waiting' on there. I really thought that was a great comedy and an epic win for a first time director.

That came out 5 years ago. Even so, I would put TT ahead of Waiting personally.
