I also think your mack lessons are a little too pro-control. Sometimes it's good to stroke a girl's ego, you just need to know how to bring her back down to earth. IMO, relationships are all about balance, you can't be the lion all the time - that's how relationships get frustrating. I need a women to kick me in the *** when I'm wrong, not agree with me just to keep me quiet.

I'm only 20, but I'm not buying any random girls a drink in the future... it just seems creepy and desperate to me. If I'm out with a girl, sure I'll buy the drinks (I feel like that one is going to get DC started... lol)... or I'll buy rounds for my group if I've got the extra flow.

When I dated my ex-girlfriend, I payed most of the time (I had a really good job last summer, so I could blow the cash). But if I was short on money, she didn't have a problem picking up the tab at a restaurant or anything.

DC, (and I DO NOT mean to start another argument like the purse thread became... I'm just saying on this...) you make it seem like the guys that buy drinks and hold purses are the guys that let their girls walk all over them and control the situation. The reason my girl and I broke up was the exact opposite. I was hanging out with other girls that weren't her (she didn't know them)... never one-on-one, but in a group situation. She didn't like it. I wasn't going to stop. They were nice people, and I wasn't doing anything wrong. She didn't like my guy friends either (she knew them) because they used certain "herbs" (I did not...never did). Time and time again she got upset with me for hanging out with them (the boys and the girls), and I continued to do so... I wasn't going to let her walk all over me like that. So eventually, she got fed up and kicked me to the curb... found some other guy to walk all over, Im sure.

Just cuz I hold the purse and buy the meals doesn't mean I'm gonna let her play me like a fool.

That's exactly how my last real long term relationship ended. Identical, even to the whole weed situation and the "girl" friends. In the end, I broke it off b/c she was too controlling - she wanted to wear the pants. Wish her well, but in the end, it wouldn't have worked out if we tied the knot.

How much do you usually spend?

I always ask girls in the club to buy ME a drink, it's a great ice breaker. But seriously, if I'm going to a club, I only do bottle service because: a) it works out cheaper in a party of 6 or more b) line bypass c) chicks think you have money, because 90% of clubbers don't think about value.

So to answer the question, no I don't buy females drinks at the bar. But I'll let them hang out in my booth for a bit, most girls get starry eyed when their in the VIP section, and usually do some provocative things after a shot or two of Grey Goose..

I never bought a girl a drink at the club or bar. It's a waste of money. If I have to buy them a drink to spark a conversation, they are not worth my time. Now granted I don't frequent the bars or clubs, not my thing (well when I was single I am in a serious relationship so of course I wouldn't do that) but I never bought girls drinks.

Be original, take risks and don't use money to chase women, it also doesn't hurt to be a gentlemen. Buying a girl a drink doesn't make you a gentlemen, it shows you need a reason for her to stay.

Absolutely nothing wrong with buying a girl a drink if it's done from a position of strength, when a rapport is developed, and an interest is shown. "Wanna buy me a drink?" is lazy, canned, and cheesy. Of course ANYTHING will work on some women, short of being a total a$$hole. The key is WHEN to buy a girl a drink.

I agree with the whole "Buy me a drink" line to hit a female with. That is original and it definitely will stand out in a girl's mind. While it might be hit or miss; it definitely will garner the most response out of a female.

Again, I don't think it is EVER right to buy a girl a drink. She has seen it before, 66,000 times; why would you even WANT to be placed in that same category as the rest of the fools that tried that same routine?

Again, women do not respect dudes that buy them drinks. Let me rephrase that; they do not respect that act. They view it simply as, "Oh this dude is trying to get me dronk so he can smash." They will gladly take it and not let you hit (which I don't blame them for).

But the moral of the story is don't spend your hard earned $ on someone that you know nothing about and vice versa. Paying for her drink shows her that you think SOMETHING of her when in reality you shouldn't think anything of a girl that you JUST met and have exchanged 35 words with.

Like I said man, don't knock it until you've tried it. It's not canned, cheesy and it's definatley not lazy. I addressed you b/c you're calling me out as if I'm some *******, who treats women like ****. It's a conversation starter..nothing more, nothing less. You have to fill the blanks yourself, if you're capable to do so. But hey, feel free to waste your hard earned money on females who don't give a **** about you or your life story.
