I didn't get insurance on it.

I'd hate to have to ship it somewhere.

BTW, I still have the tiny screw that popped out.
not sure about Verizon. These phones are too expensive not to have insurance on them. I dropped my old 8700 in some water a few months ago. Had the insurance, paid the deductible and they sent me a new one.

      1. the Storm I hear does not have Wifi only 3g, how bad is that going to be?

      2. How is the BB OS?

      3. Has anyone used the Omnia, Thoughts?
      1. I've gotten great performance via 3G on my Storm. I don't have a Wi-Fi ready phone though, so I don't know how it compares.

      2. I like the BB OS, and have had a lot better luck with it from a stability standpoint than I have with Windows Mobile.

If I hadn't already upgraded I'd give the Storm a go. I do admit that the typing was the main thing I didn't like having these manly fingers and I didn't have exposure to it long enough to get it down.

It took me about a week of fairly heavy usage to get the typing down. There is a definite technique to doing it. I have it down now, but to be honest I don't type that much on it anyway. I read email, browse the web, and use the phone, for about 90% of it's usage. So typing is a low priority for me.

Readability of the screen alone makes it a huge upgrade over my 8830.

Unfortunately, I do a great deal of texting so I need to master the typing.

                Re: The Official BlackBerry Thread

I just bought my first smartphone/pda after years of using the most basic of the basic company provided cell phone. I went with the HTC Touch Pro and I'm really liking it. I just finished unlocking it earlier and I flashed a new ROM onto it and man.. I'm in mobile phone heaven.

I was considering going with the BB Storm, but I have a few friends that are having Storm specific coverage problems in our area. For almost a month now they haven't been able to receive most incoming calls withing a 3 or 4 mile radius of the airport. And I just don't wanna deal with that, considering we all live pretty close to the airport.

It doesn't have as big of a screen as other touch screen phones but it has a stellar looking 480 x 640 res screen and a slide out keyboard with is great for me since I text and email quite a bit.

                Here are the specs: http://reviews.cnet.com/smartphones/...tag=mncol;psum

                Now, more than ever

Man that's a lot of apps. I'm just disappointed that my Curve doesn't meet system requirements to run AIM. That would have been really helpful.

I am finally getting a Blackberry next week for work, I cannot wait!! I'm getting the Curve 8330 on Sprint. It's highly rated at cnet and I was talking to a gentlemen at a technology expo on Wednesday who had one, he loves it, plus I got to look at it and play around with it for a few minutes.

Quick question, can you have multiple email accounts coming to your device? I'd like to have my work, support account (those two are mandatory) and personal email all sent to my BB.

If it's not a simple feature I imagine there's someway around it via forwarding.

That's good news, how do you toggle between the three accounts? On the Curve 8330 it looks like there is one primary account from the home screen (I imagine it's similar on all BB's), do you just click on that email icon and it lets you select from the three accounts?

I'm not exactly sure. The way I currently have it set up is that all msgs (email, sms, mms) come into one central inbox. I'm not sure if you can set up seperate inboxes. You do have an icon on your desktop for each email address so it may be that by picking an icon you can only see msgs from that particular email addy.
