I have the exact same shirt!!! I get complements for it looking cool... most hip-hop heads love it... one guy actually came up to me and said "yeah, Thank God" and I just frowned... I just wear it cause I knew it was going to attract attention, because I actually don't believe in it at all... I love underground hip-hop, so hip-hop to me isn't dead at all... the real stuff is just hidden.

You are taking the words on the shirt WAAAAAAAY too literally. I don't the shirt means that I think Hip Hop is literally dead and it doesn't exist anymore. Or that Hip Hop completely sucks now. You will see, if you re-read through the thread that there are a lot of times where I say that there is a good hip hop out there still being made today. I'm listening to some right now (N.E.R.D.'s new album).

it's just that honestly...there is a lot of music in the hip hop game right now that pisses me off when I listen to it, and a lot of it comes from the south.

EDIT-another thing is that I think we just have two different ideas of what makes music good. We obviously appreciate different things in music. I just don't see a lot of the things that I appreciate in good hip hop (or what I would perceive as good) very much any more, so that is why I would say hip hop is "dead." Is that a fair statement to make?

The shirt speaks for itself, but trust me i've caught more looks while wearing Jam Master's I Am Hip Hop T-shirt

(it's the same as the typical I am hip hop t-shirt, but the 'I' is replaced with a mic.)
