Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Old Meek probably wouldn't have taken to Twitter this often, I'm afraid that guy may be gone lol.

Nah... Before Twitter there were DVD's There was a period in time where all the philly rappers were in their feelings and was beefing with everyone on these DVD's. You would think these guys were making ECW promos as the trash talking was just as entertaining as the rapping.

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
I would honestly prefer that lol, I ****ing love wrestling. I would much prefer if he went on Instagram and recorded a video of him talking ****. I just hate these tweets. And Meek is the ultimate anti-internet guy, and went to Twitter to snitch on somebody. This diss track better be worth the wait man. Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Just seen him at a cookout earlier. Funny because it was rumors of him signing to OVO awhile ago and he was supposedly beefin with Meek recently but neither are true.

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
I don't want to sound like a Stan or anything but I feel like the way Drake went about this was smart.
It seems pretty clear that calling a song like this "Charged Up" is Drake intentionally being ironic. Meek is surely gonna come through now with a response, and he's gonna be doing his thing with his caps lock style delivery, whereas Drake is just rolling through nonchalantly like it's not that big of a deal.
I also feel like this is more bait than anything. The point of this was to get a response track from Meek then we'll see the 5 AM In Toronto type heat that we all want. He's throwing out a jab to set him up for the knockout punch, or at least that's the hope.
Regardless, I'm just glad this is actually going down and didn't turn into what we're accustomed to seeing so often. Rap needs this.Last edited by BlueNGold; 07-26-2015, 01:56 AM.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
So the Meek diss track is coming Monday on Flex's show...
And I'm now convinced this whole thing was for publicity lol. Just release the ****ing track on the Internet like every other track, now we're going to have to have Meek yelling even louder so we can hear him over the incessant Flex bomb drops and him screaming his own **** all over the song. Meanwhile, the same time Meek started this beef with the biggest rapper, Nicki started her thing with the industry over her video and T Swift, and they're on tour together. I wish if anything Meek hadn't chosen to get with the most annoying mother****er on the planet to do all of this ****.
I think the thing I'm most excited for now is Nicki and Meek going to Toronto on Tuesday. It's going to be Snoop at the Source levels booing. Seriously, it's gonna be great.

I think meek have real beef, he's been subtweetin for weeks now. I think it might have started with the Drake tidal/apple thing. Not to mention Meek is cool with Diddy, Diddy and Drake had problems. Meek probably thought Drake was even more of a "cornball" (even subtweeted by Meek's producer Jahlil Beats) after he found out that Drake's RICO verse was written by someone else.
I'm sure Nicki and Meek was talking after Nicki's rant and before Meek's rant he posted that he wanted to show someone how much he does not care.
I think Drake might have set himself up with the "No woman ever had me star struck" line [emoji23]

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
This is just the warm up. A calculated move to get Meek to bite as we know he will.
"Charged Up" means he's ready to go now if you really want to take it there. A warning shot.
Many tweets/rumors floating around that Drake is ready to drop the real ether during OVO Fest. *Grabs popcorn*Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles
