Tyler is trash. Don't see the hype with him and his crew.

Does anyone care to explain why they don't like Tyler, or no. I think he's decent but like others have said Earl and Hodgy are light years ahead of him.

In non OF related news: Did anyone hear about the Lil B & Jay Electronica collab album?

This might not be the exact right thread, but I'm loving that Frank Ocean mixtape. I'm not even really an R&B guy either.

I just brought him up in the R&B thread the other day. Really talented guy and hopefully Def Jam does something with him. He just worked with Nas for Nas's new album. But Nostalgia , Ultra hasn't left my car for months. Joe Budden just dropped a track over the Novocain beat that's worth checking out.

His lyrics are stupid and his beats are trash. Tyler and his garbage crew seem to say outlandish/weird things just for the sake of saying them but unlike old eminem, who was funny, had clever punchlines, great production, and a flow while saying crazy stuff, these dudes just say stupid **** over horrible beats and sound bad while doing it. I honestly have no idea where the hype from these dudes is coming from, there are numerous other rappers with the same shtick.

I'd like to add that Necro and Cage already done this and did it 100x better. Also Necro's production was much better then Tylers. Tyler makes hipster music for people who feel like being different makes it hot.

You think the whole crew sucks? Did to listen to Earl's album or MellowHype's albums? If not then I would recommend doing so. If you have then I guess it's just different strokes then. This song really shows how much better Earl is than Tyler.

Been listening to alot of Nas lately....just an AMAZING body of work. I think it's fair to call him the 2nd greatest rapper of all time (behind Tupac).

I'm really liking Odd Future and I onlyheard about them a few weeks ago. It's really impressive that a kid like Tyler the Creator has pretty much started a movement out of nothing. I honestly feel there are very few people in hip hop that are as talented as Tyler is. Seeems to me though that as a rapper he is pretty under-rated.

I gave goblin a listen and I really don't like it at all. The production doesn't work for me and the lyrics are awful. He's saying stuff just to be saying it. I also think his flow is absurdly messy. I really don't get all the hype on Tyler.

Also I gave the new Eligh album a listen and it's pretty amazing. His beats are awesome and his flow is awesome.

Goblin - I like one song (Yonkers)

I'd like Nas but I feel like if he heard me listening to it he would lol and shake his head at me then call me names.
