Joining MMG could be his worst move ever. I see him soaring if he'd just stick with the Roc Nation folks lol

I still never understood the point of forming MMG anyway, when nothing good was going to come from it except a disappointing, terrible album which was deleted off my Laptop an hour after being DL'ed.

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread

New album out from Mike Bigga bka Killer Mike, one of the more underrated and underappreciated rappers for the past almost decade. This is the third in his Pledge Allegiance series and he calls it his magnum opus. I thought I Pledge Allegiance to Grind II was a classic, and it's crazy how bad it got slept on, even though it was free!

I got Pl3dge today and I'm just now really giving it a listen and it's already giving Pledge II a run for it's money. This dude is so ill and just spits the truth. Here's a review and I especially agree with the bottom line.

I've gone through the album and I admit I have heard one or two relatively weak tracks (a filler track with Gucci Mane for one). I'ma have to give it some more spins before I can put it over Pledge II. Real strong album.

Here are some of the (IMO) standout tracks after first listen, NSFW:

              Spoiler

Album started off real strong with this one, so much so I expected it'd be my favorite right off the bat.

              Spoiler

This might be my favorite track on the album right now just on the strength of the Nature Boy sound bites lol. Flair is that dude and so is Killa.

              Spoiler

Nah scratch that lol, I think this is my favorite track. Love everything about it.

              Spoiler

Okay third time's a charm. Just like God in the Building was my favorite track from Pledge II, this is my favorite from this album.

*When I say "truth" of course I'm talking about his opinion of it, and that I just happen to agree with it.

Also check out the Bangx3 mixtape.

Wow so Blu just decided to drop an album out of nowhere. Appereantly it has 9th Wonder, Madlib, and Alchemist on it.

Take these with a big grain of salt:

                            and wait for it.....

                            Here's that new Drake track:

I don't know why but I still can't listen to a Drake mixtape or album all the way through. Same thing goes for J. Cole and Big Sean.
