Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
lmao that's cool but you still haven't explained what the movement is. Is it a group of weird black guys? If so, they were already beat to that by D12. Also, I'm not on any kind of high horse, if it's good then I'll listen to it. I don't like crack rap but I'll listen to Clipse all day cause they have skills. If these guys were any good, I would have no problem playing their music.
Dont really care what you like to listen to, if you dont like them thats cool as I am not trying to convince you to like them. But you cant crap on all that theyre acheiving just because you dont like their music..::..::::::::.:.:.:.:....:::.:.::::..:.:::....:::: ...:..::."When you're an assassin, you don't have a conscience"-Gilbert ArenasComment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
I will talk about how ****ty their music is if they put out ****ty music, I don't give a damn if they have fans on twitter or random forums.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
I'm pretty sure i talked about their culture of fans and ever increasing popularity. D12 having similar content years ago doesnt negate the impact Odd Future is having now.

So they are def going to eat good off of this. End of the day I can't hate on young men making their own moves and becoming successful.
But I don't seeing this so called movement going far unless Tyler the ring leader grows as an artist. While I respect his production for what it is. Almost everything he is producing sounds damn near the same.
I can see Frank Ocean , Hodgy . Tyler , and Earl having careers doing the music thing. Can't forget they are all fairly young men still.
I think the real question should be is this OFWGKTA hype just a fad or is it something that has legs?Comment

Sweet jesus.... After months of working on this website, its finally at a presentable state.
Now, for your viewing and listening pleasure, please visit my website.
We're a new independent music label with some hot talent. Some you may have heard of, others are debuting.
Roster includes Gemstones of Lupe Fiasco's 1st and 15th fame. Shyheim the Manchild from early WU-TANG Clan days. And if you live in chicago and haven't heard the name "Chi-Blizz" you must dont listen to the radio. Last but not least is my dude Stress Gotti.
Please check it out and leave me some feedback. Anything look off, broken links, etc.
Now time to begin my shameless pluggin....and I finally get to check out some of the music in this thread as well as the underground thread. Look out for vids and new music.
Thanks in advance and I'd really appreciate feedback.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Definitely underrated IMO..
It's amazing how much he progressed from his days with No Limit and the 504 Boys (TRU and Rich Boys also) back then his flow was akward to me but now he done mastered it and manage to even use punch lines without even rhyming lol, that's refreshing to me especially where I come from which has "rappers" using punch lines bar after bar...Trying to be CassidyLast edited by Jukeman; 05-14-2011, 05:07 PM.Comment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
I still can't believe how many true hip-hop heads don't love De La Soul. To me they are best group ever, certainly my favorite.
3 Feet High and Rising is the second best album ever behind Illmatic IMO. That thing is so unique, so deep, so crazy - and the production on it is amazing. Timeless stuff. I think Plug Tunin' (Last Chance) may be the greatest hip-hop track ever."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier
