The production is awful and Kanye's voice is annoying. Everything about the sound is grating.

Wasn't feeling Kanye's album at all. New Slaves and Hold My Liquor were the best songs.

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread

This will be the first Kanye album I won't be buying. One of the worst albums I've ever heard. The only song that remotely has the vibe I like is "Bound." A disappointment would be a HUGE understatement here.

He done lost his damn mind on this one.

EDIT: I guess we all know bad music when we hear it. SMH.

I see I'm not the only one that felt that Bound was the only decent song.

I didn't like MBDTF (unlike the majority), but give me that 100 out of 100 times compared to this ****.

Strangely though, I had to listen to this after listening to that garbage :

Just got through listening to Truly Yours 3. Jhene Aiko's voice is...intoxicating. New York Times is dope as well.

Need to listen to it a few more times because when I first heard MDATF the first time I thought it was garbage but after a few more listens, I'd ranked it #4 on my Kanye List(moreso since his first 3 albums were that damn good).

So far, I'm not really feeling it but I didn't like J.Cole's album after the first listen either.

7 tracks into Yeezus. No...just no. Very average lyricism with very average content. Production can get annoying at times. I can't figure out if Kanye is trying to be creative or is confused about what exactly he wanted this album to be.

Garbage. I'm like PPM in that I'll listen to an album more than once to judge if I really like it or not. Kanye is easily my favorite rapper. That being said, this **** will not be getting played again. Had I have been playing the CD in my car I would've tossed it out the window like I did Relapse and The Rotten Apple.

lol Im probably the only person who didn't hear this Kanye album today.

Glad Im not missing out on anything..

I'll say this though, 808's & Heartbreaks & Graduation needed time to get used to and needed live performances before people stopped complaining about the sound.

808's I can see people needing some time but Graduation too? I always thought that was dope since the first time I heard it. It'll be hard to do that with Yeezus though. 808's wasn't offensive to my ears so I was more ready to give it a chance. I wasn't feeling it at first but it grew on me with more listens, and I stopped trying to view it as a Hip-Hop album. The most bearable tracks on Yeezus for me (Guilt Trip & Bound) sound like something off of 808's and Graduation respectively.

Pretty Good: Blood on the Leaves, New Slaves, Bound 2
Decent: Guilt Trip, Send it Up, On Sight

Not as bad as it was after my first listen, but still not great. It's ambitious and has great production, but it generally just doesn't sound good.
