Big difference though Troutman and Gabriel used it with an instrument, whether keyboard or guitar and used it along with his music.

Weak *** T-Pain uses it to cover up the fact he can't sing. It's a drag and drop computer filter, HUGE difference.

Yeah the talk box takes talent to use right, autotune is just speeding up your voice on the computer.

Exactly, integrating it among your music by use of a pedal or by keyboards is one thing.

Singing in the studio, then in production dragging a filter over your horrendous off-key vocals is another.

Kanye was the man back when he was just raw and spitting rhymes, now he's trying to be Mr. Polished and he sucks. I get the feeling he got way overconfident in himself and isn't putting in the time on these tracks, they sound so amateurish like he just went with whatever he thought of first and started singing it. News flash for him is that he's horrible
Agreed as well. Some of the songs off of his new album have some sick beats but the lyrics are crap. For example that Welcome to Heartbreak song, great beat but the song itself isn't very good.

The only song I've heard so far is "Love Lockdown" which I like. I'm still waiting for the retail to drop before I give it a spin, but going by what you guys are saying, I shouldn't get my hopes up.

First track off Chamillionaire's next album, Venom, is Creepin' featuring Luda.

                  <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/r5LkFsxhSwM&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/r5LkFsxhSwM&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

I like Ludacris, but man compared to Chamillionaire, he was terrible on this beat, IMO.

EDIT: I'll take that back, after giving the song a few more spins, Luda came in nice, flowed with the beat well.

Damn I hadn't heard that before. Way better than the original.

I'm not going to say it's really bad. So far it's still better than T-Pain's album but no where close to Paper Trail.

Just listened to bout half the songs on Kanye's album. I'm in the minority but I love it. The chorus in Robocop is sick, I love Heartless too.

It's starting to grow on me more and more as I listen to the songs again. Like people on here said It's Amazin could have been a really, really solid track but it's still pretty good. Heartless is probably my favorite off of the album so far. Welcome to Heartbreak has a really sick beat and the concept behind the lyrics is really well done. The others aren't great but how much can you really do with an autotune?

Welp, glad Yay got that experimentation ish out of his system. That was probably the dullest/least inspiring 45 minutes of my life. It's ok Yay, Common, Mos, The Roots and Andre 3000 went through the same hey I want to do something different type thing..

Knowing there was going to be singing with the auto tone beforehand still didn't prepare me for how much I simply was not moved by anything on the entire album. Outside of like two tracks, the whole project was atrocious.

                                Electric Circus had it's moments.

The New Danger was pretty awful though.

I refuse to listen to the new Kanye because auto-tone is ****ing garbage.
