The Future, the lead single from Padded Room. I'm not really a fan of this style, but I can appreciate the verses from these kind of tracks, it's not something I'll listen to more than a few times though.

CF, I'll get that to you either tonight or tomorrow, you will probably have headphones on for a week straight listening to some of these. Just a question, is MM3 all you have heard from him so far? If so, just listen to these 3 right here, 3 of my favorites.

What do you guys think of Universal Mind Control by Common? I'm a big fan of Common, but I wasn't feeling this at first. Now it's grown on me, love the beat, but could have done without Pharrel's chorus.

That Common joint sound mean as hell, especially the beat.

Am I the only one that thinks that Kanye West's "Late Registration" was one of the BEST Rap CDs in this decade?(00s)

I forgot how tight that CD is from beginning to end.

This freakin dude plays that song right before the start of my Monday/Wednesday 11:30 journalism class, every freakin morning. Been playin it for the past month or maybe even longer.

He doesn't have the common [pun intended] decency to plug his headphones in so the entire class doesn't have to listen to whatever he's playing on his computer.

With his help, yes the song has grown on me.

Not one of the best but it was a really good album. He needs to get with Jon Brion again cause the beats on that album were the best he's ever done.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

interesting. I thought Late Registration was weak compared to College Dropout and Graduation.

It is, College Dropout is the best out of them all imo.

I thought it was weak in general, I gave up on it after a few weeks.

College Dropout is a classic to me and my favorite Kanye CD but I think a lot of that is due to the expectations surrounding each of his albums. I thought Kanye was garbage until I listened to Dropout so I was really blown away. Then Late Registration was the most anticipated album and people were kind of disappointed. I think we were disappointed partly because we had heard Diamonds and Touch the Sky way before hand. If those had been surprises I think we all would have thought more highly of Late Registration than we did at the time. When I go back and listen to it now it's pretty amazing and so polished. Graduation is a step down from both of them IMO though.

I'm talking more about the beats than the content. College Dropout was clearly his best album but Late Registration had the best production. Graduation was just awful. Outside of Flashing Lights there wasn't a single good song on that album.

Wow I hadn't heard the "final version" of Welcome to Heartbreak before just now. The beat was way better on the earlier version, now it sounds like crap.
