Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
lol that statement along with your love of Kid Cudi tells me that your taste in music is horrible. I had a free ticket to see Kid Cudi and I left early, that's how bad he is. I was willing to give him a chance since everyone said his other songs were so good but he's terrible.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

I love exploring hip hop. I can go on and literally list every rapper that I listen to and liked but I think you get the idea for my love and my taste.
And as far as the kid cudi love. Man i heard day n night. I liked it. saw the video I loved it. Check out some songs, was like ok. 2 months later and I mean like two months later I hear "cleveland" and now I hear the leaks off this "man on the moon album" and I'm loving it. I love artists with originality. Dude is doin something different and as far the live shows...some rappers are good performers and some are not. This does not mean that there music sucks. I know that soounds funny but this rap music majority of the time is played digitally(your cd player,mp3 player....) i really like the kid cudi sound.... i jumped on quick.Last edited by cjb1514; 09-10-2009, 10:32 PM.Comment

The Diary & Untouchable were bangers though especially Untouchable.
Southside is my ish.
I'm ashamed to admit it but I kind of like Pitballs music. Maybe it's just his dancers though.Comment

KG, you might be the first person I've heard say The Fix is weak lol. At WORST, id say it's good and that's the absolute worst, IMO.
Anybody know the latest on Dr. Dre and Detox and on Outkast?#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Have you listened to his new album yet? I think the entire concept of the album being a dream with happy thoughts and nightmares is very interesting. Plus I love some of the beats.
I know you clearly don't like him, but who would you say he sounds like?Comment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
I have been anticipating this album for so long (L.A.S.E.R.S.)
JMood, I don't really understand the need to call cjb's taste in music garbage. I mean, it's what he likes. What is it about your musical preferences that make them so much more superior than someone else's? On top of it, you made your judgment based on his liking and disliking of one artist. cjb, that's a nice list, but I wouldn't have even bothered offering a response. Like what you like and let the music snobs hate.
As far as CuDi goes, I'm going back and forth on the album. He is not a very good rapper, but he makes decent music. The more I listen to MOTM, the more it grows on me. At first only 2 songs grabbed me (Soundtrack 2 My Life and Simple As...), but the more I listen, the more other songs are starting to grow on me as well (Sky is Falling, Day N Night, Heart of a Lion). I love the concept and love that he got common to narrate the album.
While I'm still lukewarm about CuDi, BP3 has really grown on me. I skip very few songs on it.Last edited by Streets; 09-12-2009, 12:07 AM.Comment
