I hope someone blends the (good) responses into the original Control song. And deletes Big Sean's verse.

Big Sean wants everyone to know that he knew what was going to happen with the track but was confident enough in his verse to put it out anyway. In fact, he thinks he went harder.

Jay Electronica actually gives an interview(more stuff in the link):

“I like the song and the stir it’s causing. It’s good for rap music. A month or two ago, Big Sean asked me to be on this record with him for his album. He had a demo hook on it at the time. I did my verse and sent it back. I found out a couple days before it was released that Kendrick had put a verse on it. “

I just realized Mac Miller was in Kendrick's list. I feel like this was his reaction to hearing the verse:

Doubtful, a lot of people (not necessarily in this thread) are huge fans of Mac. I've been a fan since K.I.D.S, but Best Day Ever won me over. I find it most surprising that Kendrick mentioned Tyler, not because he isn't great, but because they're almost two different genres of rap.

Yeah, and the fact that Tyler's not really one to engage in "beef".

With all the people that have decided to drop a Control freestyle, it reminds me of when Busta Rhymes Touch It came out and a ridiculous # of remixes came out.

I like Los as a rapper, but dude is just a ****ty songwriter. He can't put together a whole track to save his life IMO, I have very low hopes for an album from him. He almost always eats other dudes' beats though when he hops on.

You're crazy bruh lol. Big Sean actually lowkey went in on that song to me and is the best response to Kendrick's verse. The problem with that song for me is the same problem I had with the ****in' Problems video. In ****in' Problems, A$AP says "All these mother****ers wanna dress like me" and then in the video Kendrick is wearing the exact same thing as him lol. In this song Sean says "Then run to the hottest niggas just to stay hot
I'm one of the hottest because I flame drop Drop fire, and not because I'm name dropping, Hall of Fame droppin'" and then Kendrick comes in and drops a bunch of names. Why has this happened twice to him?

And this is my favorite response to the video, probably because Run The Jewels is one of my favorite projects of the year and Killer Mike basically vaulted over everyone last year with R.A.P. Music to me.

It shouldn't take a verse for ****** to wanna step their game up, they should just want to. That's the point of rap, isn't it? Stay on some rap ****. If you have nice clothes and millions of dollars, I don't have a problem with that. ****, I wish I did too and if I did I'd tell everyone I knew, but at some point you have to do a Mac Miller. And I say that because the entire transition of Mac from K.I.D.S. to WMWTSO (whether you like the projects or not) is growth and maturity. He went on the Breakfast Club and was talking about how he used to just **** around and make happy music until people said that's all he could do. And he said "But I can really rap" and now he's trying to prove it. Whether or not you (not you personally just in general) think he can or not doesn't matter, it's the fact that he is saying "Look I can make dope records and fun music, but god dammit I'm a rapper." And that's what every rapper should be saying.

Side note: I really need to get back in here everyday, I hate missing a day and like 4 pages go by and I have to make long *** responses like this haha.
