I haven't liked much of what he has put out but this song is great.

Went to the Yeezus gig last Friday night in Sydney - awesome show...but I preferred his MBDTF shows I saw in 2011/2012, both in terms of the production values and the setlist. I knew songs like Hey Mama and Through the Wire wouldn't fit the Yeezus theme but was still a bit disappointed those weren't performed and was also surprised he didn't spit his verse from Monster. He actually only played 4 songs from Yeezus and finished off the encore by doing N.I.P. three times!

Kanye has also been copping a lot of flak from that show because before Good Life he "demanded" everyone stand up before he started the song, including 2 people in a wheelchair lol...but it's been blown totally out of proportion since he didn't even know those two were wheelchair-bound and as soon as he realised that went straight into the song. Really no big deal., just the media hating on Yeezus as usual.

I was keen to go again for the Saturday night show (even had tickets) but ultimately sold them since I couldn't find anyone to go with (but yes I sold the tickets). Oh well.

I didn't even know who P.Reign was until 2 days ago, but he has alot of potential, Drake definitely made a solid signing. His Dear America mixtape was promising (especially welcome to the future, all my life, in this cup, different now thinking out loud).

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread

Just got the email. Couldn't preorder fast enough.

Last year we gave you Run The Jewels and in exchange we asked for an email. Since then we haven’t been in touch unless you’ve seen us at a show, talked to us on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, bumped in to us at a bar, sold us weed, etc etc. Truth be told our intention was to mercilessly sell your email information to literally anyone who would pay in a desperate attempt to raise enough money to buy 2 giant 36", 14 K yellow-gold dookie rope chains or 4 bit coins. While we still yearn for those, we (regrettably) forgot to do the whole “betraying your privacy” thing, mostly due to the amount of marijuana we smoke on a daily basis. In fact, we completely forgot we even had these emails until yesterday. **** happens.

We are writing you today to thank you, and to tell you that you are the first people in the world we are inviting to check out our exclusive preorder packages for the new record we made called “RUN THE JEWELS 2” (or #RTJ2). First to the thank you part:

HOLY ****ING **** THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING RUN THE JEWELS A SUCCESS. We are humbled that you have supported us and our music. All of you. Those who bought it, those who got it for free and came to a show… all of you. Truly. You turned a free record with little to no promotion in to something bigger than we ever expected. The shows have been amazing, the interactions with all of our supporters just as great. It's because of this that we can honestly promise to keep giving you that raw **** as long as we can. Thank you thank you thank you.

As you may know, #RTJ2 is dropping October 27th. We are very excited about this. Once again we are giving you this record FOR FREE. We want anyone who wants it to have it, especially those who don’t feel like they can afford to spend cash on that type of thing or maybe even aren’t sure we are worthy of it. Take it, test it out. Enjoy.

For those of you who DO want to pay for it we have many glorious options for you which we will list below. Many of these are limited and you are getting the first crack at copping them. We think you’ll be as pleased with what we are presenting as we are.
Check out the bonus packages though. I.E.:

Forgot to mention, Pusha T was the support act and it was sweet to see him come back out for Runaway with Kanye!

Seemed like an obvious decision...but considering earlier this year I saw Eminem and Kendrick Lamar live in concert but they did NOT perform Love Game together, I've kept my expectations low for on stage collabs
