Hopefully Wale's (and I'm gonna apply this to B.o.B as well) next album is up to par with his mixtapes, because I have really enjoyed his mixtapes.

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Super random hip hop question but I was at a bar last week and saw the most incredible music video. It was in an urban area playground and some guys where doing some jump rope tricks. Next thing two girls walked up to it and started this synchronized jump tricks with the ropes. The whole thing took place at this playground. We were all freaking out so much at what was happening that we totally missed the artist or song name and search after search has left with me nothing.
Figured I would give it a shot.Comment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
My man Wale has done it again.
Black N Gold, The MC, The Breeze, Friends and Strangers FTW.
Love that on all his Mixtapes, he's always kept that DC/Gogo Music feel to some of his tracks as well. Staying true to his roots and was pumped he had Northeast Groovers on here(last track on the mixtape). Felt like it was 97 listening to that lol.Last edited by ProfessaPackMan; 08-04-2010, 06:19 PM.#RespectTheCultureComment

Wale just dropped his new mixtape, More About Nothing. I haven't given it a listen yet, but I'll definitely listen to it tonight or tomorrow.San Antonio Spurs 5 - Time ('99, '03, '05, '07, '14) NBA Champions

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Never watched Seinfeld one day in my life but this and Mixtape About Nothing is making me want to check that show out and see what the hype was about it. I admit I kinda lol'd when I heard Seinfeld on the Strangers and Friends Track talking about relationships and being friends afterwards lol.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
That's pretty nice how Wale mixed the original Sam Sparro hook on Black and Gold. That was my damn jam too.
It ain't hip hop, but if you don't know, now you know. LOL

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Congratulations to Rap-A-Lot Records recording artist Bun B for his latest release, Trill OG. In the upcoming issue of The Source, we reviewed albums from a list of Hip-Hop heavy hitters who each has recently released a stunning well-crafted body of work that has shaped the year’s best albums creatively, lyrically and production-wise. The artists albums' that were rated in this issue were, Eminem [Recovery], Rick Ross [Teflon Don], Big Boi [Sir Lucious Left Foot - The Son of Chico Dusty], Fat Joe [The Darkside Vol.1], Drake [Thank Me Later] and The Roots [How I Got Over].
Each album went through meticulous review from The Source’s ‘Mind Squad’ across different categories that included originality, lyrical content, arrangement and production. Trill O.G. scored high enough to receive 5 mics, the holy grail of Hip-Hop ratings, granting it admission into an elite club of timeless musical compositions that span over 20 years. The album rating system has been a staple for the magazine in announcing which artists have put together the best album from start to finish. Bun B is the first artist to receive this honor in over 5 years.
The state of Hip-Hop music returns strong with these releases and The Source celebrates the return of Hip-Hop dominance. These artists have pushed the envelope, crafted chart topping music and are helping restore Hip-Hop’s dominance, with Bun B the leading the pack. Trill O.G.’s [5 mics] rating is something only a select few have received in the 22-year history of The Source.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick.
