Also regarding Chief Keef, I just found out that he calls his friends and male fans "slutty boyz". I'm glad that we've advanced as a culture to the point where an openly gay rapper is allowed to flourish without any prejudice. I'm happy for him.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :) -

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Oh, and Fly before you come in here trying to debate me. I'm not saying he shouldn't be allowed to make a living doing music. This also has nothing to do with him being young and me being an "old head".Comment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Rhymefest sounds bitter, to be honest. Nothing wrong with relaying what you see and live on a musical plane. He's not destroying minds; he's just making good music.
These rappers are not role models, kids. You going to tell me horror movie directors are bombs next? Come on, son.Comment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
People say he's always around dudes in his videos. Okay, so you'd rather he trap and post up with females? What? Completely contradicts his persona.Comment

I'd rather not see a video with 15 shirtless dudes rubbing each other or a guy going on twitter and asking "where my slutty boyz at".Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

I taught high school English this past sprig. Most of the kids want to be rappers when they grow up. They said they want money and to be famous, forget school. I had to explain to their *******es that if you intend to be a rapper, English might be the one close you put some effort into.
The stereotypes these rappers feed into, letting young " " kids think that's the way to act infuriates me like almost nothing else. And you simply just approve.

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
You do not get it. Whether you intend to influence or not, is not the point. When you are given a stage and your voice is carried to millions of people, you become an influential figure. Whether you, he, or his label see it that way or not, young easily influenced kids are on the Internet downloading his tracks, reading his interviews. They see this guy w/ money, women, and fame and think that's the way to go when it is not.

Second, not sure what the problem is. Do you like rap? Seems to me that you're demonizing the culture. You don't like the way he grew up? He's going to rap about what he knows. What's the deal?
Kids out there, you don't need to go to school if you can make it big as a rapper. If you can't (you probably won't), there are other paths for you. Not sure what's so hard for a high schooler to grasp there. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.
