Re: It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
I can't believe so many people disliked last night's episode. The only one I disliked was the Maureen Ponderosa wedding which everyone loved, so I guess it's different strokes.
Dennis talking about his "degree from an Ivy league school, not this... LaSalle".
Mac talking about "all things are possible through god, so how bout you jot that down"
His size pills
"Oh real cute, you put this pen here so people think, 'that looks like a dick' (awkward pause)"
"Talking about it can make me most bigger"
The doc asking him about body dysmorphia and him responding, "Is that what I have!? Is that what's making me so small??"
Charlie's spiel about how he loves Charlie work at its core (I mean bleach smells good, it tastes good)
His constant misunderstanding the therapist
"And maybe I've never done a bad thing since I have so much skin already"
"And for god sakes, quit hiding the pigeon".
When he pulled out a dead pigeon and tossed it in the air, I lost it.
"That's okay because we'll make an adjustment to it and we'll make a tradition out of it (awkward smile)"
Frank was weak. Dee was a bit better, but not by much.
And Dennis, as mentioned, was brilliant.
"I's interesting our thing, isn't it? To be in someone's mind and have complete control. It's like the thrill of being near the executioner's switch; knowing that at any moment you could throw it, but knowing you never will. But you could. Never isn't the right word because I could. I might. I probably will".
"Well, I showed you mine"
"Giving a man medicine for his disease... wherever did I get that idea?" (writes manically)
"What are you writing?"
"Oh nothing... drawing... drawing conclusions..."Last edited by Streets; 11-10-2012, 02:25 PM.Comment

Re: It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
Last night was one of those episodes that I think becomes funnier as you talk about it because it's so quotable.
I didn't die laughing while watching but I knew I'd mention this episode in the future whenever discussing Sunny."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You're saying, like, do the things you do... Go even FURTHER with them, you know, maybe get a TON of cat hair, glue it all over your body, ya know? Walk around like a cat man in the night, through the alley ways, ya know? And STOP hiding the pidgeon"Comment

Seriously, while Charlie was having his moment I thought to myself: Charlie must be such a fun character to write because you can basically have him say anything, no matter how ridiculous, and the audience will just nod their heads.

Re: It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
I wish Frank was more like Frank in Seasons 2-3. He was more of a schemer, had some money to throw around, and was always trying to be "part of the gang." His character has evolved to be way too over the top and just not that funny to me anymore IMO. Frank, to me, was always looked at as a smarter, more mature character than any of the idiots in "the gang" but was more deviant than all of them. I wish they'd go back to that dynamic.Comment

Re: It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
Loved the episode this week. I thought they could have done a lot better with Frank though, I didn't find his part that funny. I loved the parts with Charlie, Mac, and of course Dennis, that episode was perfect for him.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Re: It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
Dennis's delusional image of himself as a therapist was the funniest part of the episode.
Now Mack is worried about getting smaller, and liked being big and monstrous? Let's get back to Mack as the lean, mean fighting machine with imaginary karate skills. The pen/pencil in the mouth bit wasn't funny.
Charlie and Frank's session was too over the top even by Sunny standards.
The therapist was great, I just thought this episode could have been a lot better.Comment
