Wow. Last week's show was the best IMO as well. That is definitely not promising!

Was there anything else on that would've taken away from it?

Wow the American Public's viewing preferences are ridiculous. Fringe is the best new show to come on in a long time. At least it's base viewers seem to really love the show. Hopefully it can get increased support.

It's the CBS crime-show monster (good shows nonetheless) and ABC's monster hit.

ABC's Dancing With the Stars elimination pulled an 11.4/17 and CBS's new show The Mentalist finished with a 9.9/15.

Fringe is up against some tough competition. Maybe FOX realizes that and consider the 5.5 strong against those juggernauts. The week prior it was up...barely. It posted a 5.3/8.

Another positive is that FOX's only weekday shows pulling better numbers are the mega-hits House and 24. Bones is similar, but better at 6.6/11.

Though, FOX's 24: Redemption was only a 6.8/10. Perhaps, that show has run it's course.

He still has his moments of totally insanity, but I like how Walter is showing a stronger grasp of reality, and connection to the here and now. I hope his character development continues down this path.

Finally up-to-date. This show is very good.

                      Re: Fringe anyone?

I really hope that FOX keeps this show around. It's been great. And the fact that the commercials are only 60-90seconds long is great too.

I didn't expect much from this series, but it's been really good. The ratings for it kind of make me worry, but it is going against 2 huge shows.

Storyline wise, it's some cool sci-fi stuff. And I don't know why Sci-Fi gets crapped on by the public. It's not like it's all for geeks and nerds.

24 has never had a season rated that high. Nielsen ratings have "Redemption" rated #17 overall, which is pretty good.

I like this show too, but if Fox managed to hang in there for 3 seasons with 24, they should give Fringe another year.

So, Fringe is FOX's fourth best show. There's no way FOX can cancel this show, right?

                            Never say Never.

Look at ABC. They took a show with 7 million viewers "Dirty Sexy Money" and canned the show.

Wasn't like "Dirty Sexy Money" was that highly rated.
