Re: Fringe anyone?
Peter is definitely turning into an observer, and I wish Joshua Jackson would have played the observer looks (odd head tilts, blank expressions, quick head movements) with a bit more subtlety at first so we could have discovered it a bit more slowly, but that's nitpicking.
Note that the Science channel is going to start showing the series from the beginning starting Tuesday. They tend to grind through series quick, so it might be a good way to watch random episodes of the old seasons.

Re: Fringe anyone?
So i guess that viral casting video with Joshua Jackson acting as an observer at the end wasn't just misdirection.HELLO BROOKYLN.

I kept wondering if we'd get the lump of hair in my hand scene.
I am pleased."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: Fringe anyone?
Just rewatched the pilot since it aired on Science channel today and I think I smiled the entire time I watched it. Nothing new, or no new takes on anything, it was still pretty straightforward, but it was fun seeing them all meet again.
One thing I did notice that I'm sure I didn't before, the plane had Massive Dynamic logos on the engine's fan hub. Nothing major or important, just something you would never notice until watching it again.
Going to be a season 1 marathon friday, BTW, with intros by John Noble and thoughts on the science by Michio Kaku. Always a fan of Kaku's thoughts on science fiction, so definitely setting thee DVR.
Also, they ran a commercial saying they would be showing terra Nova (meh) and Dollhouse in a continued effort to have Scifi programming on the air. Not sure how I feel about Science channel going fiction, but since SyFy no longer seems interested in showing actual SciFi, it's nice that someone is willing.Last edited by Burns11; 11-21-2012, 02:36 AM.Comment

Re: Fringe anyone?
It depends on what you think scifi is. If you include wrestling, scaring people in the dark, and reality tv, then yes they show scifi.
Finally caught back up now. I wonder if Peter somehow turns into September or has a connection to him.Comment

I've thought of the Peter being September possibility but holy paradox. How could he save himself if he was already dead? Unless maybe he always saves himself and the head honcho wants him to not save a young Peter because he knows he becomes September and eventually takes down the system.
Or the above is still possible without Peter becoming September. He just needs to become an Other.

Man am I going to miss this show. Very few shows in the history of television have had the balls take the storytelling risks that this show has.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

The universe created has potential to be told in several mediums. I know there was a comic once. I'd love to see it come back or even have books on it. I'd buy those. I don't want the story of Fringe to ever end.

Re: Fringe anyone?
The show was dead before then, if anything Friday saved it, the show wouldn't have lasted another season on another night. Somehow through the lowered ratings expectations on Fridays, combined with the syndication threshold, we got 5 seasons out of the show.
As far as the two universes go, I feel like it was fairly played out and they had two ways to go, expand it to another universe or contract it to one. I feel like they made the right call.Comment
