    Re: Fringe anyone?

I saw it and was a little skeptical.

There was some good moments but everyone says it's a 'Modern Day X-Files', while I say, 'It's an X-Files rip-off'.

The concepts are about the same. Government agents investigating paranormal activity.

I only watched it because I was a huge X-Files fan and I wanted to see if it distinguishes itself from the X-Files. The only difference between the two shows are the characters. There has got to be more to it than that.

I'll give it one more episode to see if it's worth watching.

I'm not much of a TV watcher but this one really had me entertained/interested. X-files on roids.

                watched it and liked it.

I am optimistic about this show because it seems that even though it is an ongoing story, each show looks like it will be some type of crisis to be solved in its own right. Similar to X-files, like the many posters have already pointed out.

I like Lost, but it is moving so slow. the end of this last season picked up some, but IMO it is getting the feeling that they are just dragging out to get two more seasons or however many are left.

I would say that in the six years since X files has been off, the graphics and moderate amount of gore allowed on network tv has improved some, so it could be a little better in that way.

The pilot was good. I'm just not sure I want a weekly look at bio-terrorism/warfare if that ends up the main plot line. <!-- google_ad_section_end -->

I watched the pilot yesterday morning and enjoyed it. We'll have to see if it becomes a must see for me, but it is still on the DVR set to record all the new episodes.

Watched it last night. For the most part I liked it. Rigth now I think it borders on being a huge hit or a very good 2 season show.
                      We'll see.

                        Re: Fringe anyone?

Its like a Sci-Fi version of CSI. It lacks the atmosphere that made The X-files so great.

Joshua Jackson's character is pretty annoying. Noble was a little better but I'm just not buying into the father/son duo that know everything about everything. Seems like an excuse for lazy writing.

I think I'll pass on this one. Watched the first episode without knowing it was by JJ. Thought it was ok, but knowing he made it I would just be waiting for random polar bear or something off the wall. And besides that I didn't think any of the characters were likable. Just my 2 cents.

The only question mark is how far this show can get with JJ.

He's great at creating stories but he just can't keep them going. He jumps the shark way too fast.
