Yeah this film is a bit of a wisecrack-athon and they have even added two token "ghetto" characters to the autobot's who drop a fair few of the cliche'd "i'll bust a cap you ***" type comments so it can seem a bit forced.

I guess with a film like this you have to go in with the mindset that you are going to see a big budget popcorn flick with insane special effects but not the greatest dialog at times or you'll be dissappointed. Now with that being said the audience was absolutely rolling in the aisles at times so it obviously works it's just got the typical Michael Bay sledgehammer subtlety that we have come to expect.

As for your question (you might want to wait til you've seen it before reading these spoilers):

yeah megatron does travel back to his master on cybertron once he is resurrected where they are "breeding" more decepticons but the planet itself didn't look too amazing imo and basically looked like a dead planet covered in spikes.

One thing i wasn't aware of is that decepticon's could transfer into human's? has this ever been in transformers in the past?

That's a bummer that Cybertron doesn't seem as cool as one would hope. As for the Decepticons transferring into humans stuff...That's interesting. I've heard that they're kinda heading towards elements that haven't been seen since the Headmasters series. That is, a human more or less bonded to a TF and basically inside the TF in fight/action type moments.

I didn't see the first-Is this like a superhero movie? Would a fan of Spiderman and Ironman like it?

The first movie was a blast JayBee. Lot of humour mixed with good action and Megan Fox.

I'm going tonight for a midnight showing, Rottentomatoes has it at 30%, lots of negative reviews but i'm just going with hopes of being entertained. I watch movies to be entertained, nit picking like most reviewers do really bugs me because whats the point of going if your always just looking for a flaw?

The AP gave it 1.5 out of 4 stars. Ouch. Eh, the part of me that is still 9 years old will still go see it this weekend and probably enjoy it.

I'm seeing it tonight, but I don't know what time I should be camping outside the theater in line to get a decent seat. I'll be at the Sony Metreon in San Francisco, watching it in IMAX.

BTW is it just me or is ROTF getting much more negative reviews and press then the first movie?

Serves em right since they kept that hack Bay as director.

Rotten Tomatoes only gave the first one 55%. The second one is getting 37% the last time I checked. Critics are tougher on this type of movie.

Cleveland.com/The Plain Dealer's film critic gave it a D. He gave the first movie a B+.
