I could see this happening very easy. They even foreshadowed it by Raj choosing Leonard as the first to meet his "girl". He is easily the center of three of the largest connections on the show...and without him as a buffer to Sheldon a lot of social problems could develop in their circles.

Yeah and with Raj's newfound ability to talk, and the girls obvious annoyance that he wouldn't shut up, they might could build some tension while Leonard is gone.

It'd be funny to see what does happen if everyone does somewhat go their separate ways during the months that Leonard was gone.


For next season, I hope they get Katey Sagal to appear on the show. Since her and Kaley both starred on "8 Simple Rules" together for a number of years, and with Futurama ending(hopefully not forever), don't know if she has anything else planned right now, and with Futurama and Big Bang Theory both having sci-fi elements on it, there might even be a Futurama reference on it lol. Would be funny/ironic if she plays Pennys mother(since she played the mother in 8 simple rules), since we don't know anything about Pennys mother yet in this show.

Another person I want to see guest star on the show is William Shatner, for obvious reasons. I'm surprised BBT has never gotten him yet to be on the show. If there was anyone from star trek to ever get to appear on the show, he would be THE person to get.

Another person I want to see guest star on the show is William Shatner, for obvious reasons. I'm surprised BBT has never gotten him yet to be on the show. If there was anyone from star trek to ever get to appear on the show, he would be THE person to get.

Katey Sagal is a main character one Sons of Anarchy, so she has that planned.

Was at a BBQ Monday and a group of us got into a mini debate concerning the character of Penny's moral character.

Obvious soap opera television cliches aside, I and a few others did not find it unusual for her to have been seen naked by 3 of the 4 main guys (Sheldon, Raj and Leonard), had some form of sexual contact with two (Raj (sorta) and Leonard) and one long on/off relationship (Leonard). There was ONE very loud lady saying that it made the character a tramp and normal people did not have those sort of relations with groups of friends.

I am in my forties and have had an interesting life...never judged the kinks and quirks of my various social circles so maybe I had a unusual exposure level to stuff like this. But I figured it wasn't abnormal when a lady had multiple relations in a social circle over a course of time...I had seen it lots of times. So....Am I way off here?

Well, I think you have to throw Sheldon out. For one, he's almost asexual, and for two, when he saw her topless, it was she had slipped and fell in the shower and gotten injured. And he peeked. I don't think there's too much shame in that.

In real life, the Raj thing would be unlikely since it isn't common for a woman to continue hanging out almost exclusively with her ex-boyfriend and his friends after a breakup. But, it was a situation when they were both drunk, and she immediately regretted it.

I've had my share of fun with my social circle lol. I can honestly say that of the 6 girls that were part of my close group I have seen all of them at least partially naked, with two being very intimate encounters so to speak. Lol. Liquid courage was always involved. I don't see how Penny is being a tramp with this group of friends. Her past relationships and good times could easily be seen as such but not her interworkings with Leonard and the boys.

They got up to putting a condom on, he was having trouble doing it so she tried to help and in military terms, he dropped his payload early. So depending on how you picture it, the sexual contact was a lot or a little more than just passed out

First off, showing her DATING a variety of guys isn't the same as having sexual relations with everyone of them. But even at that, I really don't recall her dating that many guys on the show. Somebody with a better memory would have to back me up here but you got the guy she lived with who she had just broke up with in the pilot, Leonard, The comic book shop owner Stuart, and the dumb guy Zack. Anybody else?
