As long as they don't run out of ideas that's fine. Himym ran out of ideas after 6 seasons where 7-8 and especially 9 were so pointless and dragging on and series finale basically undid almostceverything from those seasons. At least for a show like Friends that ended after 10, they seemed like they could've kept going (minus the whole moving away stuff)

Also good points. HIMYM did get a little rough those years (and the ending sucked), but from the other side I just would enjoy those characters even if they weren't amazing. With so many new shows bombing (seems hard to create a truly great show sometimes) it's no given that we'll have a show to replace it.

Still though, I completely agree and wouldn't want to see it end up like Three and 1/2 men where that got weird after Sheen left

As long as the cast stays on I don't see it ending. Though I see Penny and Sheldon being the only ones really getting big roles after this show ends.

But CBS really does need a new great comedy. They cancelled 2bg which ran for years, and himym and two and a half Men ended years back. The odd couple also cancelled. No current show I see going a long time.

There are still a lot of angles in the nerd/science fiction arena to mine, and Stuart needs more to do although the field is currently crowded. What you're listing above to "dry the well" including a Sheldon-Amy baby are all things I WOULDN'T want to see. As far as Raj finding someone, this season the show successfully presented him with the better dilemma of living without his parent's money.

You never know, but the show makes so much money for so many people that's the only thing that would stop it short of a huge ratings decline.

CBS unveiled their schedule for next season. Like past few years, BBT will be Mondays at 8 because of Thursday Night Football. Young Sheldon has a special preview September 25th. Once TNF is over, BBT and Young Sheldon will be back to back from 8-9pm on Thursdays.

Bernadette is pregnant again? Melissa Rauch announced her real-life pregnancy a couple of months ago so they're just going with it.

So so premiere with a shocker-Stuart has a date!

They've really got to get a long-term story line going for Raj. He's in the shadows now, doing absolutely nothing.

That's really the only reason they're doing it. Storyline wise it really makes no sense at all minus just being like "It was a happy accident". Everyone thought they were just gonna have her on camera less or just not as visible(like holding her baby, or sitting down at a table). They did that when Penny broke her leg in real life. She was doing bartender scenes more often so she could stand/sit behind the table.

A TV channel here has been airing Blossom so I actually checked it out. A strange contrast to see her character from Blossom vs BBT.

Surprised they've never really had many Blossom references in the show. I know they mentioned the character before the actress was even on BBT, but almost all the other characters have gotten to have references and/or guest appearances from people who've worked with them in the past.

With Sheldon-Amys wedding coming up at some point, I think it'd be a cool thing if we see her Blossom family in some way appearing as her BBT family. Amys dad is alive(as revealed in this past weeks episode) but I think the guy who played her dad on Blossom is retired from acting(but actually directed a BBT episode in 1st season). Or even getting Joey Lawrence to play some member of her family. Don't know if Amy has a brother or not, but just from the small parts of Blossom I saw, they did have great chemistry on it.

^ If memory serves me correctly, in the episode where Sheldon & Amy are deciding what duo Halloween costume characters they could be, Sheldon had Blossom & Joey as an option on his board.

A real dud episode even factoring in Penny's remarkable body.

Many parts of the show doesn't seem like it's going anywhere. Young Sheldon has actually been better this season than BBT. Sheldon and Missy are the best parts of that show.
