Nobody died then. Only one who has in the series was Howard's mom, and that was only because the actress died a few years ago.

Sheldon's dad did die, but it happened way before bbt. Will happen on young Sheldon if it lasts long enough.

My personal opinion is that the season finale is everything this show should have been for the last few season. The writers have blown it the last few years by the constant conflict and degrading relationships which "caricatured" the patheticness of each character.

        Examples:
        • Howard booking Mark Hamill to officiate the wedding. Cool gesture.
        • Leonard actually acting like a true friend to Sheldon.
        • Sheldon showing his love for Amy and appreciating her brilliance.
        • Stewart being a Nerd Stud with his prolific knowledge of Geek.
        • Bernie being the sweet, supportive, brilliant person that she was portrayed as.
        • Penny, being pragmatic, street-smart and portraying her unique brilliance.
        • Raj, well, not much was done for him.

Really? I thought it was easily the best episode of a disappointing season and one of the best of the series.

Yeah, Leonard's sarcasm needs to be balanced with more affection when it comes to Sheldon.

It was a great moment but Sheldon has been evolving toward showing Amy more love and respect.

Looks like it might go beyond 12 seasons.

Had to end eventually, but wasn't expecting that.

I wonder what becomes the new top comedy. I've been slowly moving past watching 30 minute sitcoms because I haven't found many good ones. Minus LMS and Young Sheldon, once BBT ends I have no other ones to watch.

Good point. Modern Family is funny but also ending somewhat soon I bet (and not quite as funny as it has been now)...Not sure there's really a top end comedy out there anymore after this is gone.

I guess "Top End" is a matter of taste but I put Mom ahead of all of them at this point. It gets better every year.

This upcoming season will be Modern Family's last-I'm wondering where they will go if the spinoff actually happens.

Me neither-I didn't think it would ever end, LOL.

I wonder who's decision it was to end it. Was it a total cost issue, stars not wanting to continue, or both sides decision?

For some of them, they would probably made more money than they will elsewhere.

Yeah...I mean honestly I can't imagine a lot of the stars ending up on something better, you know? Johnny Galecki isn't going to just hop on some new show and make it a hit....Even Kaley Cuoco isn't guaranteed...

I was somewhat surprised. I know they've talked about it, but still...it's a lot of money and the top show on TV

I don't know if she'll be good or not, but no doubt after BBT she'll get offered stuff. Maybe go down path Jennifer Aniston had after Friends.

Jim Parsons probably will have best career after BBT. Based on Young Sheldon, perhaps he might even want more behind the camera work.

I’m sure they will make enough on reruns for them to earn a nice paycheck. I agree It seems like several of the regulars are destined to be pigeon holed into these characters. I wonder if they will try and do another spin off of some kind

They already have Young Sheldon. Don't know what else they could do.

At most I've heard actors talking about wanting some new Blossom show. I wouldn't be surprised if it did happen, especially given both the main actors on that show have done well for themselves ever since. Obviously isn't a BBT spinoff, but if it happens, we could see some BBT "reunions" in it.
