The movie obviously didn't spell that out very well. That part was a bit more rushed than I hoped it would be. However, I think it was really important to have because it showed that Bruce's chi was basically rid from him that night, and it gave Miranda more exposure before the end of the film.

(I'd like to clarify that I typed this out while talking to a bunch of family members, so if this didn't make sense I'll try it again later)
Heck, it makes all the sense in the world to me from Wayne's perspective...hot chick shows up, throws herself at you, you do your thing. It makes NO sense why she would sleep with him and even make the offer to 'fly away'. She has everything she needs from him to get her revenge...she doesn't need him anymore. It makes no sense that she would do this IMO...it makes sense for Bruce of course

By "flying away," that was probably her Plan A of getting Bruce out of Gotham and into the Pit. I'm sure she had appropriate means of subduing him mid-flight so he'd wake up in there.

When he declined, they had Plan B all lined up with Bane kicking his sorry, overconfident ***.

If you've seen Scream, think of it like that maybe (from the villain's perspective).

Also, it's possible that she just wanted to get on the Wayne Train.

It was about to reach Wayne Tower's central hub. It was coming right at those guys. If the train hit the tower, the vaporizer would cause everything to blow!

Sorry, I hated that guy in Begins.

I'm imaging him narrating a Bruce and Miranda sex-scene.

So, I'm sure there's a good reason for it, but does anyone know why you can't rent this via Hulu or Amazon anymore? Last weekend it was available and now it's only available for purchase...weird.

Good point...probably the reason. I went out and picked it up today on BR instead...thanks.

I now own my favorite ever BR versions of TDK and TDKR... with consistent 2.40:1 framing. IMAX shots still look beautiful and don't need to open up.

I know some people like the opening up. I like it as an option, but IMO it's really reserved for an eight-story IMAX theater that goes to 1.44:1, not just 1.78:1 (which is how HBO will show the entire film, so at least it will be consistent I guess).

AMC Theaters are re-releasing TDKR June 24th - June 26th for $3 per ticket. My theaters are only showing one showtime each day at 10:00 PM.

I was really bored yesterday so I watched TDKR on DVD. It was the fourth time I watched the movie. Still gives me chills, what a masterpiece.
