Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Yeah, I honestly couldn't see or hear a thing that was said in that trailer, except the bits and pieces that were taken from the previous two movies. Whatever was going on, though, it seemed as if Bruce Wayne was talking to the bed-ridden character.
Again, this is a good teaser because it builds up hype without revealing too much. What I didn't like though, syntactically, was how it said "The **** conclusion" or whatever. I don't mind it actually being the conclusion, but it seems beyond Nolan to say something that they say in the Twilight trailers and such. I just think the wording could have been better in that regard, since it made me kind of say, "Oh please."
I really don't want to pick apart this trailer if I don't have to, though. It's best if I don't know.
EDIT: Oh, and interesting choice with the white background and black writing, as opposed to the Nolan staple of white on black. I wonder if the change is symbolic for anything in the film.Last edited by Blzer; 07-13-2011, 04:36 PM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Yeah I agree Blzr, the "E P I C conclusion" came out of left field. Oh well.
Last installment I guess with how big its all gotten there's gonna be moments like this one that leave you going WTF. I didn't really care for the any of the "journey this journey that" b.s.
It's just a teaser at the end of the day so I'm not worried nor really hyped.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
I think I've watched it about 10 times now trying to figure out what the bed-ridden character is saying...
SpoilerThat's definitely Gordon in the hospital. Still trying to figure out what he is saying. Sounds like the first line is:
"We were witness to bedlam, they knew you were gone."Last edited by Beantown; 07-13-2011, 07:19 PM.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Is there a good quality version up? I just got on and read on IGN that there's only a really ****ty quality up where it's hard to make out anything that's going on. I'd rather just wait if that's the case.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Yeah Thanks. As far as this being the conclusion maybe this is all Nolan intended on was 3. Plus there is the Justice League that is said to be out in 2013, so maybe this will end in a way that will make the JLA work.“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
I don't see Nolan connecting this to the rest of the DC Universe. I wouldn't be surprised if WB forced/persuaded the next director to go in that direction, though.
OT: An animated adaptation of Year One is coming out in September, here's the trailer for that.
