I was always curious to know what direction this film would have taken had Heath Ledger lived.

LOL! You believe that??? Tom Cruise is listed at 5'7" but I know people that have met him personally and said he's no more than 5'5" (and he had boots on).

I'll be my last dollar that Bale isn't more than 5'7" in real life.

Just check out this pick of him beside Mark Whalburg from The Fighter.
Wahlburg is a major shorty in real life. So if Bale is 6', then I'm 7'2"

And no, to answer everyone's question, Bane does and did not look imposing to me.

But that's the least of the reasons why I gave this film 6/10.
Too long, too over the top, and the end result of the rubber-match between Bats and Bane was absolutely horrendous.

I can easily say I will never see this movie more than once.
I think the only people that truly love this film are Batman diehards.
If you're just a 'regular' person who doesn't own batman underoos, you'll be disappointed with this film.

I love Batman but I was very disappointed in the movie.

Pretty funny generalization. I've seen this movie with tons of different people that aren't Batman fans but loved it.

Was that directed to me? Because I don't think they would reboot. If JGL would continue the "story" for a Justice League story, whether or not he's Batman, this could be what they decide to do.

I think many people here know that I don't care about any superhero comic book characters outside of the recent films that have been made about them, including Batman and Nolan's vision respectively. So no, I don't happen to be a massive fan of the character. I just own the films.

And are you serious with that Christian Bale 5'7" statement? I'd be willing to bet my nonexistent Batman underoos that he's no shorter than 5'11".

Either way, I don't see them continuing the Nolan story/verse/characterizations without Nolan much less without Bruce Wayne as Batman in a JLA movie.

That is an incredible exaggeration. The only people I've talked to that didn't like the movie are OSers. I'm the harshest critic I've talked to about this movie on Facebook/work/of people I know and I'm the only not "regular person".

Regular people will enjoy this movie just fine.

Since I can't multi-quote on my phone, I completely agree with this.

There is no way Bruce Wayne isn't back when the next Batman movie happens. Other than, I assume keeping it darker, the next set of Batman movies will probably, and should, pretend Nolan's never happened.

There are 30 people in my office, none of which are "Batman diehards", and every single one of them loved this movie. My wife, not a "Batman diehard", loved this movie. My parents, not "Batman diehards", loved this movie. Myself, not a "Batman diehard" (nor have I even read a comic book since I was maybe six years old), loved this movie. And, on the flipside, as JMood pointed out, he IS a "Batman diehard", and he didn't care for the movie.

My point? Your generalization is incredibly wrong, and, well, ridiculous.

Then again, certain groups of forum contributors always seem to have a skewed belief that they are the majority opinion... just go ask the Madden forum

Actually, if I wasn't such a comic book nerd, I'd probably have no complaints at all...it's a gift and a curse, lol

You not liking it, no problem, for every movie that ever been made, there are millions of people who don't like it, but to just throw out that 'regular' person statement is just you projecting.

I know about 20 people who have seen the film, besides me, none of them know squat about Batman outside of the movies. Out of the 20 about 15 thought it was great.

They have to reboot. That movie pretty much sewn up this version of Batman. Nothing else more to get from it imo.

If anything when batman comes back into theaters in X years, I hope they freshen up Bruce Wayne a little bit and take a whole different angle on the character. Its gonna be hard for them to rival this adaptation of the universe.

Bingo. This universe is done and for te next movie to be successful they need to do something different that is just as good.

There are ways to get "campy" with the villains and such without losing quality.

                                Seems like good timing:

First rumor about the next Batman, key points:

-No origin, will start in Batman's second year
-Will be in the Justice League Universe
                                -2016?
