I thought it was corny, and some of those flaws I didn't even view as flaws.

Some of the things are just common sense if you paid attention...

Yeah that was great cause it was exactly what I was thinking while watching the movie.

Because people accepted that as typical movie trying to be badass bull****.

Him getting back to Gotham was just reckless.

I think are both of them are just fine, and don't warrant explanation. He's Bruce Wayne, bankrupt or not, and was right next to a town. Maybe he hooked up with the South Korean smugglers again, who knows. Point is, I'm glad no one literally asked how he got back, or that they didn't chew up any time to show it, unless it was another large part of the film.

Did Selina not say something about it? My memory's hazy.

How he got back to Gotham did warrant an explanation since Nolan went to such lengths to show how broke Bruce was and how remote the prison was.

I'm not really sure I care enough about how he got back.

I don't know if it matters, but he technically was seen in multiple previous scenes "earlier in the day" with Selina, Fox and Miranda, etc.

Trust me, I wouldn't mind this film being a four hour epic, including how he got back, and maybe even a half hour longer in the Pit. I mean, this film hit so many different "plot points" that took fifteen minutes each which could serve as an entire movie's premise, which is both amazing and frustrating at the same time. Take the bank heist prologue in TDK: people always find a way to compare it to Heat, and you're sitting there thinking that not only could have they expanded that scene to twenty minutes, but it could have been a full hour of planning, etc. if they wanted to.

I just feel that, once we heard the "Batman" music as he left the Pit, we all but assured ourselves that he was already "back" as is. The rest was just gravy.
