I can see why. CC has become the new Radio Shack. Just so drab and unpolished when I go in there. Mine has just never seemed customer friendly.

The store in Birmingham is extremely clean and well kept. Just hardly any employees anywhere.

There are a whole bunch of them closing in IL, ouch. I may not even try to get Gears from there this week just in case they don't have them. It is a shame if this just leaves Best Buy as the only B&M.

This is a chance now for Fry's to expand and blow BB out of the water.

I've always been partial to Circuit City and thought that they provide decent customer service. I boycot going to Best Buy whenever possible due to prior bad customer service experiences. I've always felt that they employee's were actually knowledgable in the product.

Looking through this thread, it looks like the in store experiences of other people are all over the place.

The one by my house is staying open, but the one by my office is closing. I'll stop by Wednesday and see what kind of sales they have going on. Might find a deal that's just too good to be true.

Yeah, I'd agree. While I think Best Buy is a better organized store overall, I always felt prices were cheaper at CC. And I prefer the layout of their website as opposed to Best Buy; much easier to find things/get product reviews/information is displayed well. I have a store near me in Maryland closing so will try to go by tomorrow or Wednesday. At least there are others relatively close that will still be open

Had one close near me about 2 years ago,really like the store its where i bought my first HDTV,actually took 7 of them home in one weekend till i found the exact one i wanted for my 360 told the guy to just hook the 360 up to it...but he said he could not so i used there 30 day return policy,all in 36 hoursanyways the store did one of those close one day and re-open with deals,which they did,but they took all the good stuff out,it looked like a flea market/ yard sale

None in New Hampshire, either.

In fact, there's only one CC in New England that's closing: one in Orange, CT.

Every AZ location is closing, wow. Fine by me though since we have a Fry's electronics which is better than Best Buy and CC combined.

I'm hoping to get a Samsung 120 hz 52 inch. I wonder how low they will go. i'm gonna get a blu ray player for sure and hopefully some Christmas gifts pretty early.

The one closest to me is closing, maybe I'll have to stop by there when the prices drop.
