Wow I just heard on the news that an employee at Walmart (didn't hear where) was trampled along with a few others, one woman suffering a miscarriage.

Another reason I'll never go out shopping on Black Friday. People turn into complete animals this day. The guy who died was my age too. Sad.Comment

Re: Black Friday 2008
I went to Sam's Club where a more mature crowd lined up. I was there at 4:40am and Sam's Club employees came out to make sure you were a member, renewed or signed up new members.
There was close to 40 people in front of me. The line went from the entrance to several feet beyond the exit. Probably close to 80 or 90 people outside is my best guess.
I noticed 80-90% were in line for the $420.00 Wii bundle or the Wii fit. I walked in, picked up the Garmin 750 and walked out within 10 minutes.
As soon as I came up to the checkout, the gal said the Wii bundles were all gone.Comment

Re: Black Friday 2008
Well I was warned against just installing the HD from my old CPU and expecting it to run with my OS loaded up and whatnot. Having everything set up based on your previous motherboard will apparently cause a lot of issues if you just try to run it on the new system.
That particular barebones just has the CPU, RAM, case, power supply, and the motherboard (some come with basically everything and you just have to put it together, but this is the most common kit). So you'd need a HD, CPU fan, video card (not essential, but if you're planning to game at all, you'll need one), CD/DVD/Blu-Ray drive, and the operating system. All together, I'd say it would be $350 for a pretty bad-*** computer starting with this barebones.
Video cards are about $100-$120 (for GeForce 9800, etc.), fans are $20, hard drives are about $50, DVD drive about $30 (all via Tigerdirect/NewEgg). The operating system is the most expensive single thing -- but if you have your XP/Vista disc from your other computer, you can probably just do a clean install and not have to buy it again. I unfortunately don't have the disc, and I was planning to upgrade to 64-bit Vista anyway and getting an additional 2 GB of RAM... so I have to buy Vista.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment
