I'm with you on this one. Unless you're an videophile and/or have the extra funds at your disposal i think most people would be happy with 720p.

IMO, the lossless audio from blu ray would make a much more noticeable difference in the movie experience than the minor difference between 720p and 1080p on a 46inch tv.

I'm not gonna clog up the Black Friday thread arguing over 1080p vs 720p.

Suffice to say that I have found usually that the people that have 1080p notice a difference, those that don't, don't.

Moving on. I'm still waiting to see if Apple announces anything for BF. Really want that Red Nano.

Just curious, does anyone have any experience at going to places like Office Depot? Is going to be as crazy as, say, Wal-Mart if I was trying to swallow up that 22" Acer Monitor for $129.........

I doubt it. Most of the heavy traffic will be at BB, CC, Walmart and Target. Of course, it also depends on how many of the monitors they get in.

I do, but I went there an hour after opening. No crowd, no worries.

                          Thanks, guys..........

I decided to cop a 22" Hanns-G monitor for $149.99 at Newegg.com, which makes the price spread about $7 after the taxes I would have been assessed at the store. God Bless the no-paying-taxes online.

If it's like you described, I might cop that 500 GB HD for $70 from Office Depot, though.

For those that are interested: Just saw a Walmart tv ad that says they'll price match competitor's black friday prices.

How early should I get to Wal-Mart in hopes of landing one of the 42" Polaroid 1080i HDTV's? This is the NW 'burbs of Chicago so a decent sized community.
