Crap, if they filled bankruptcy people who own the stores card should get off too, that not the customers fault.
CC isn't a bank. Who backs them up pays them and you owe money to the bank, not CC.

You would be fine... you can charge all you want and if they go bankrupt you got free stuff.

It won't mess up your credit at all.

          Uhhh... I don't think that's quite right.

Like someone else said, CC isn't a bank. They aren't financing you, it's the credit company that they are in business that is offering you a CC credit card.

Regardless of if the store closes, you're remaining balance on your credit card will still be owed to the credit card company.

LOL, wow! FF, did you REALLY think that the store going out of business would mean all people who have a balance on their Circuit City cards are home free?

                    LOL, this is funny

FYI FF, my mortgage is through IndyMac Bank who filed bankruptcy, I was all hopeful that my house would be mine with no more payments, but alas, another bank took over the loan. I am still very disappointed.

So "liquidation" means 10-20% off everything? Screw that. I was hoping I could get DVDs cheap.

not at all, I was trying to say that the government is bailing out all these f'ed up companies because of there nonsense, so maybe the people should get something good out of something, because in the end Us the people get screwed.

They do. That's what those government stimulus checks were for.

Unfortunately for many of these companies, people were smart and invested that check because they saw dark days ahead. The government wanted people to spend it to help out the economy, but that didn't happen for the most part.

Ha. The bank that services the account might have something to say about that! Best Buy used to be with HSBC I don't know who Circuit City is with but I don't think they would appreciate that too much.

Anyway Circuit City was struggling years ago so this really isn;'t a surprise.

This sucks. Other than Circuit City all my town has are the department stores (Wal-Mart, Target, etc) and Crutchfield. CDs/DVDs is also Barnes and Noble (if you're crazy enough to pay those prices) and an independent music store.
