She'll be scarred emotionally for life, and this made it that much harder for the next guy

Yeah, I was just giving my take on that situation... violence (especially against wome/children) is more of a lasting negative image than something sexual... unless it was an actual little kid or something a la Michael Jackson.

And that photo is not shopped it was taken at the scene by the cop... we'll see the real dirt when the hospital photos get released, because that's when she was all puffed up and bruised. There is an investigation pending on this, so that's prrobably why the photos didn't get released very quickly.

I think it depends on the level of violence. Murder, 100% hell yeah, but I would make the case that rape/sexual assault trumps domestic violence. Again, not saying that domestic violence is miniscule, just that rape/sexual assault seems more extreme in my book.

Yeah, and those (rape/sexual assault) are considered violent crimes. By "sexual" I meant something without a violent component to it such as R Kelly's Doo Doo Butter. Rape is clearly worse than domestic violence (bot in practice and in media/public perception), but it's definitely a violent act.

And wishing anal rape on someone in prison is pretty sad also. It's ridiculous that has come to be the expectation in our prisons. He deserves whatever punishment he gets, but implicitly condoning that kind of thing doesn't sit right with me. That's not what prisons are for.

I agree, and I was just saying that to make a point on how bad he was. Plus everyone knows that a celeb like this wouldn't just be put in a general population...

It doesnt make it right that he beat on her but it doesnt mean that she was completely innocent.

Yeah, but still, when you say "any instance where a man should hit a woman," what do you mean by that? A slap? A punch to the face? That's part isn't clear enough. What CB did could be classified as hitting a woman, though in his case it looks more like attempted murder.

Anyways, looking back I see that I may have generalized a bit too much; heck, vickhalloffame was the guy saying the most stuff so my argument pretty much holds no weight...at all lol.

I knew this would happen too, but at least it keeps things going over here.

and i still say that if she would of gave him a std knowingly that she would of deserved it. right now though, what he did to her was uncalled for, but i could understand if the std thing was true. but hey, i could understand if a guy's face was like that after he stabbed someone with a needle that was infected as well, unfortunately we don't get that kind of equality mindset in people. i do have a dream though.

Domestic violence happens everyday. Just because it is someone famous this is supposedly newsworthy. If the media is not willing to report on all cases of domestic violence I really could care less if a famous person is a victim of it. Our country and are media is too consumed with celebrities and their lives. Much more serious and important things going on in the world then if Rihanna got her beat up by her punk boyfriend.

After look at that photo, just imagine she was your younger sister. Would you ask "What did you do to cause this?", or would you say "CB is a dead man walking". Even though it's NOT right, I understand if he had reacted and maybe giving her a black eye. But that was truly uncalled for. Like someone else said in a earlier post, I was also taught "spit before you hit". I know her family wants to beat the hell out of that guy.

Photo does not look as bad as I thought it would but I heard there is another one where she is at the hospital after the swelling/bruising has set in. Either way, as I have been saying since my first post- it is super messed up.
