Pftt... If we disregard accents as a part of acting, I really like Russel Crowe as an actor but his accents are not great either.

He had 4 different accents in the first scene of Gladiator...

Yah, Worthington is actually a good actor but his accent was horrible( if that makes any sense?) My main issue with his accent was that most of his lines that were off were voice overs.. I'm sitting there thinking, how can the most expensive movie ever, with the most advanced technology, not do multiple voiceovers???? I know it couldn't be the budget.

I'm with you there. I did notice the accent at times and I also noticed the voice overs at times as well. The voice over thing bothered me more, for some reason. Either way, it didn't detract from the overall experience at all for me.

Just saw this in 3-D and as one of my boys put it, "That movie was beast."

However, I do think the second half of the movie could've been handled a little differently. The third hour was action-packed and very entertaining, but it was also predictable and cliche. I felt like the movie would've been much more powerful in message had they ended the movie when they destroyed the Home Tree. That would be a very powerful ending image of the tree burning and the Navi sitting devastated. I do understand that there's no way a big blockbuster could end that way.

I can see where they were coming from including the third hour. Everyone loves closure and for the bad guys to get there's in the end, and I'm sure the movie would've made less money if it wrapped up when they destroyed the Home Tree.

That's just a small complaint I had. Still a great, revolutionary film. Loved it. Anyone that enjoys going to the cinema should check this out in 3-D.

Wow I guess I must be in quite the minority here but I wasn't that impressed with this movie. It's been a bad year for me with movies because I haven't been that impressed with any of these hyped movies except for Star Trek.

The visuals were amazing, don't get me wrong, but it was amazing in a Pixar kind of way. Watching scenes in Pandora I never thought I was watching a real film. It felt like I was watching a mature version of a cross between Shrek and Monsters Inc. I did not identify with the aliens being real characters in any way and could not be really immersed in the story because they always seemed CGI to me and the fact that the human antagonists were complete cardboard cutouts made it worse.

The plot was recycled (hero goes undercover fighting for the evil empire, falls in love and then switches sides and fights against the evil empire), the pacing off (the 2nd act too slow and the 3rd act way too hectic), and about 20 minutes too long (a Cameron trademark). Cameron was so imaginative in creating this world you figure just he would be just as imaginative with the plot considering it was years in the making.

Although it was a visual treat I thought there was frequent motion blur and close ups of any object was blurry and strained my eyes. My eyes felt tired after the movie and convinces me 3d TV is not something I'm pining for because I could just imagine the motion blur watching 3D football (no thanx).

It was too weak in so many areas that the visual eye candy can't justify it's many shortcomings and the 3D aspect wasn't that special because the previews I saw for Shrek 4 and Alice in Wonderland looked just as dazzling if that's what you based your enjoyment of movies from.

Flame away boys but I thought Up was the better movie because I consider them both to be in the CGI category. I'm actually perplexed at how well this is doing financially and kind of put off that this most likely will end up as the highest grossing film ever because of it's many flaws.

It's always the same, when a new movie comes out by a famous director everybody praises it as the best thing ever than a few months later opinions mysteriously change. (ie: complete crap like the Star Wars prequels, Raiders-Crystal Skull, Transformers 2)

At least I explained why I didn't like it, most here seem to like it because it's in 3d and in Imax. Talk about shallow praise. Guess all the gushing about this movie will quickly disappear once Alice in Wonderland comes out and ends up looking better.

I don't know who you talk to or what you read but no one praised any of those movies that you listed.
