Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Freerunner. Low budget UK action movie based on....free running. The fighting scenes and attempts at serious acting were pretty funny but the free running was cool. Wouldn't mind watching again.Comment

The Fast And The Furious Fast Five. That was a really good movie maybe the best of the series so far. And I loved the cliffhanger at the end.“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Watched "The Lincoln Lawyer" today. Thought it was well done and I really enjoyed the acting in it. May have to go re-read the first book and give the second a whirl.Moderator

I assume youre talking about Charlie Day, I find him hysterical most the time but I think Ive only seen him on Always Sunny before this movie.Comment

Everything Must Go- I thought it would have a little more humor but I did chuckle a few times. Still thought it was a good heartwarming character study, and a good departure for Will Ferrell, who I thought was great. Liked it quite a bit.
Hall Pass- Again it wasn't funny start to finish like I thought it might be, but there were some hilarious one-liners, particularly in the beginning. Overall it was pretty good not great based on what I was expecting. Still love Jenna Fischer though
The Lincoln Lawyer- I liked this movie a lot. McConaughey did an excellent job and the supporting actors were solid. Really liked the story and how there were some little details you needed to pay attention to. I was interested and involved throughout.Patriots

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Soul Surfer
I substituted for an English class that was on a block schedule, and this was the movie that they had to watch. I didn't even know it existed, and I didn't know when it was made. I just IMDb'ed it, and it was made this year.
It wasn't bad. Wasn't good, but wasn't bad. If you've seen any inspirational story adapted onto film, you've seen this one as well. I don't think this film even made a cut to PG-13, so that's about all you'll get out of this one.
Every female actress in this film, however, looks stunning. From the lead role played by AnnaSophia Robb to Carrie Underwood's character, there isn't a reason to look beyond some blonde-haired babes consuming the screen for any amounts of time.
Anyway, this just proves that I need to find a new movie to watch again. I gotta see if The Lincoln Lawyer is out at my local Redbox.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Friday the 13th - Awesome awesome awesome. Seriously, it is amazing how corny this movie is at times but then within seconds it will literally transform into something that is genuinely creepy. The kill scenes were all awesome, definite B movie material for the kills. Mrs. Voorhees was great, a complete pyscho (along with half of the cast really). The score reminded me a bit of Psycho, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Overall a lot better than I thought the film would be (had never seen it before last night), but the corny horror stuff was hilarious, the kills were awesome, and the creepy and pyscho stuff was grade A.
Also, for my money, I would wager Annie being the most psychotic one in the movie.
