Paranormal Activity 1. It was decent, but you just can't help but shaking your head at that Micah guy. I avoided any information about this movie because I always wanted to see it. I thought it was going to be a haunting story. I usually try to steer clear of demon possession films. They really creep me out.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Just finished watching Transformers 3. I liked both of the first 2 but this one was just OK for me. It seemed to drag on for too long, some of it didn't make sense and the story just wasn't as good to me. Some redeeming factors: the eye candy of Sam's new gf (I mean I love Megan Fox but you can't deny this new chick is hot), and some of the comedic moments are pretty good because I really like the way Sam, his parents and Agent Simmons deliver their lines.Patriots

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Dazed and Confused - Of the "last days/week" of high-school films (namely Fast Times and American Graffiti), I think this is the best. It is an awesome movie. I love the way that it links all these crazy stories together as the story is basically developed around how these kids hung out back then as it switches between cars at meet-up spots. Ben Affleck is great in this and probably my favorite role of his because its okay to hate him in this movie because he is just being himself - a total and complete tool. Matthew McConaughey is just superb. There is something sad, but ultimately cool about his character.PSN: buckeye02Comment

Old Boy is one of my top 10 favorite movies of all time. Everyone I turned on to it loved it. I believe they are making a US version of it and if they are I can not see Hollywood using the same ending.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Paranormal Activity 3 - Awesome. Best one in the series. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with PA4.
Blood River - I recommend it, you can find it on Netflix instant. Original story, good acting, decent movie for a low-budget film.
Backwoods - If you've seen any of the Wrong Turn movies or any movie where a group of people get's stuck in the woods and makes terrible decisions, then you've seen Backwoods.
Airplane 2 - I didn't know they made a sequel to Airplane until I came across it on Netflix. I didn't have much expectations going in and thought it was going to be a bad sequel but it was hilarious. Not as funny as the first one but it was hilarious.Last edited by Buckeyes_Doc; 10-27-2011, 09:56 AM.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Ken Burns' Baseball. Technically it's a series since there are episodes, but it is amazing. Helps me appreciate the history of the game. If you haven't seen it, or seen it in a while, it's on Netflix.Boston Red Sox

"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I am on Inning 6 now, and it is amazing. I loved all the 1800's to early 1900's history of the game. I watched the two 10th Inning episodes as well. A must-see for any baseball fan and it's one of the few reasons I still have Netflix on my PS3.Currently Playing:

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Just got back from The Three Musketeers. Really, really good action packed flick. And we were accidentally put in a 3D theatre (actually my first full length 3D flick). Very good on the large screen. Good comedic moments. I'd say it's doable on your smaller screen, but a treat in the theatre.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
The Ghostbusters - I've always enjoyed this, but I laughed more last night than I ever have while watching it. I don't know why, but something just clicked. Bill Murray is a legit psycho or "odd" as Dana calls him, but he is so great as Peter Venkman.
A Nightmare on Elm Street - So this was the first time I had seen this (original) and I loved it. A lot of things about this movie are seriously ****ed up and I love that it makes it all seem (most of it anyway) rational. Johnny Depp's death is pretty legendary and I cannot even comprehend what the parents would even begin to think or feel seeing his room like that. Seriously, that was a crazy way to go. Puree-style. Love it.

Just caught The Other Guys. Man, that movie is HILARIOUS! So many good quotes.

Bad Teacher: Meh. It had some funny moments, but for the most part it was fairly unremarkable. Jason Segal is criminally underused.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn
