Isn't that what movie rationale is all about?

Good point, I just think the whole stereotypical southern redneck portrayal and the whole thing with Kate Bosworth egging those guys on and the subplot with the cheerleader and the "simple guy" (for PC sake) was a bit much. There really wasn't much of a story just random events that bordered on stereotype.

At least that's my opinion. I haven't seen the original but i'll watch it next week to compare.

I just looked up Hugo, def looks pretty cool.

I though HF2 was solid for a kids movie / sequel and didn't see the 3D version as other than Avatar I generally find it more of an annoyance than anything.

          Underworld: Awakening

Kate Beckinsale kicking ***. Pretty much a non-stop barrage of action. What's not to like?

The GF and I went to see Contraband last night. I thought it was going to be more of an action movie but it was more of a thriller type of flick with action elements. I thought the story was well crafted what with Mark Wahlberg's character being drawn back into the world of smuggling due to his wife's brother being stupid and getting way over his head. There is a bit of double dealing involved in the flick as well as Wahlberg's closest friend ends up being not what he's supposed to be.

I thought the acting and the overall story was quite good and was well worth the 2 hrs. The only complaint I would level at the film was how

Overall though I would give this about 3 stars out of 4.

Hard to believe that this movie was based on a film made in Iceland. I will try to watch the source material sometime next week.

Per the recommendations on this thread, I checked out Tucker and Dale vs Evil last night. Very fun movie, seemed like a plot I would've come up with. As good as horror comedy gets.

Immortals in 3D. 3D action solid, plot and story boring and weak. Overall a bad movie, one that I'll never watch again.

                    Spoiler

Still it's quite a good flick. I mean I didn't go and say EXACTLY what's happening in the film.

What I thought was interesting was that the director of contraband played the lead role in the foreign version.

I did too, that's why i'm kinda interested in seeing the original film to compare the styles and story.

                            Twilight Breaking Dawn Pt1:

First and foremost, WTF with the love scene. They know their audience is a bunch of 13 year old girls and they show such a semi graphic love scene. "Any-hoo" on the movie itself, somewhat very freaking boring and slow. Actually the entire thing was a bore fest with the mild exception of the wolves.

I remember hearing that the Eclipse was going to be the the action oriented one and that Breaking Dawn was going to be very story heavy due to certain things. Well the first part was pretty boring, but you can definitely tell it was a set up for part 2.

                            final verdict: 6/10
