Re: What movies have you seen recently?
If we're going all-time then it has to be some kind of combination between Princess Bride, O'Brother Where Art Thou, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Spinal Tap. Scott Pilgrim is in with that group. 500 Days and Sarah Marshall and sitting right outside the room, though.

Abduction: A watered down Bourne Identity type movie. Not bad, but easily forgettable.
Win Win: Good movie. I didn't hear about it until I found it in the "Hidden Gems" section on VUDU. A gem it was, Paul Giamatti is becoming one of my favorite actors in Hollywood.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Don't be Afraid of the Dark: It was ok, but watching it I had the feeling that I've seen this movie many times before.. The same cliche characters that we see in many "scary" movies were in this. The family obviously should of left the house much earlier then they did, but decided to stay. The little creatures and the history behind them was different and I did find that interesting but that's about it.
Tucker and Dale vs. Evil: Funny and awesome. Hillbillies, college students, blood, and a lot of confusion.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

I just watched T&D vs. Evil myself last night. A rarity for me to watch a movie......I just randomly picked a movie that I thought I might find quirky(in the mood) and boy did I pick the right one.
Good laughs.....
my favorite
Spoilerwhen the sheriff gets the board with spikes in his head and Tucker says...."That's bad....oh.... no....it looks like he's gonna walk it off"

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I've been very review-unfriendly lately, so I'm sorry about that. Lately it's been because after I watch a film, I don't have time to leave impressions for the rest of that day.
At any rate, a couple of films I have seen recently:
The Tourist
Sucker Punch
The Green Hornet
All three were very sub-par.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
The Fellowship and the Ring and The Two Towers - Gandulf is a badass plain and simple. This was the first time watching the extended versions and I have to say I prefer them to the theatrical versions. With these movies, I don't care how long they are because there's so much going on and so many relationships and characters that are created and developed, its nice to see a movie actually take time and build a movie around its characters.

Moneyball: Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. Brad Pitt delivered as Billy Beane, Jonah Hill delivered the best role of his career, and the movie was engrossing from start to finish.
Cannot recommend this movie enough for baseball fans. Hell, I think there's even enough here for non-baseball fans to really enjoy it.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn
