Dazed and Confused - I brought it home and watched it with my family on Christmas Eve. My father seemed to enjoy it.

Watched the first House Party last night before bed. Picked it up for $6.99 on blu ray over the weekend.

It ranks up there with Insomnia as my favorite serious role for Robin Williams. Creepy movie indeed.

I watched a TV movie remake of The Sunshine Boys with Peter Falk and Woody Allen last night. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. Falk was chewing up the scenery like nobody's business while Allen was probably a tad too understated. You got the feeling the characters hated each other right off the bat rather than the kind of love/hate thing you got from Burns and Mathau in the original. Nonetheless the scenes where they bicker were enjoyable though a pale imitation of the original.

Sarah Jessica Parker really brought things down with her part which in essence was the Richard Benjamin part in the original movie. The scene where she gets so aggravated by her uncle that she needs pills just doesn't work because she's not manic/nervous energy enough to pull it off.

Passable stuff 2 out of 4 stars.

Yes, the original Sunshine Boys was truly a great film with two tremendous comedic actors who, unfortunately, didn't do more together.

Finally, saw Avatar. Pretty much what everyone else has said. This and Inception were my "need to watch during the holidays since everyone else has seen it" movies.

Also, viewed Columbiana. I'm not a big Zoe Saldana fan, but the action sequences were done quite well. Reminded me of a bit more serious "The Losers", which, of course, she was in also. Is she turning into the female Kevin Bacon?

Straw Dogs - I've never seen the original movie but the remake was a good movie with likable characters. The plot flowed well and the ending was strong.

Moneyball - Simply put I loved it. A great baseball movie.

The Frisco Kid (1979). Haven't watched this in quite some time and forgot some of the comedic moments. If you've never seen this Gene Wilder classic, do yourself a favor. It is pretty slow to start in setting up the story, but the odd pairing of Wilder and a young Harrison Ford works very well. A great ending also. Only Young Frankenstein is a better performance in my mind re: Wilder.

Heavy Times - Hilarious. It has cult classic written all over it. I found this gem on VUDU in the 99 cent rentals. It's worth the watch.

                        Final Destination 5

It's just comedy at this point and it knows it. Which worked out pretty darn well. I knew part of the ending before seeing it so was watching closely, didn't notice anything. I might not have liked it as much if I didn't know. The very last scene was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Super 8, I really didn't like this movie. It was ok, had great CGI/Special Effects but was just really random with very little plot.

Romantic Comedy / kind of a chick flick.

Went to see Young Adult, with Charlize Theron and Patton Oswalt. It's not a Romantic Comedy, it's not really anything.

Very disappointed with this movie, other than Charlize, there really isnt much to see here. Oh and you get to see Patton Oswalt shirtless.
Don't you EVER read my blog? It's gotten a lot better.
