MI4: Ghost Protocol
Good for what it was, even if the plot had some gaping holes. Cruise is still believable a guy that can play the lead in these movies, and thought he was good here.Currently Playing:

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Finally saw Captain America. Thought it was ok. Why did they do so many 'action montages' instead of just showing some more action scenes? That kind of bothered me.

Watched The Last Boyscout last night. Watched it on TV so it was muted and blurred, but still a classic from when I was a kid lol. So many corny one liners, and the lighting is just off in so many scenes.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Watched a 1973 made for TV movie with a great cast called The President's Plane is Missing
The telefilm stars Buddy Ebsen, Peter Graves, Arthur Kennedy, Raymond Massey and Rip Torn.
Unfortunately the story isn't exactly the strongest but the cast saves it with their very good portrayals.
While on the brink of a military confrontation with China, Air Force One crashes in the desert, killing the President. This brings Vice-President Kermit Madigan to power who, having been left in the dark by the president, must now rely on his predecessor's aides to guide him. But they have markedly different viewpoints and hidden agendas. Will he blunder his way into a nuclear exchange with the Chinese?
Graves and Kennedy are reporter and wire service head respectively who seek to find out if indeed the President has died in the plane crash and uncover a conspiracy but one that ends up being for the good of the nation. Graves does a pretty darn good job in his role and Arthur Kennedy steals the show in every scene he's in as there's a charisma to his old timer character who's seen it all.
Effective little political/mystery film that is held up by the cast so about 2 1/2 out of 4 stars.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
A few I have seen over the past week.
Green Lantern: Meh, didn't really like it. Out of the four superhero movies I have seen this year this one was the 3rd best, only because the fourth best (Thor) was awful to me. Blake Lively looked really good though. 2.5/5
Hangover pt. II: It was pretty funny. Not as good as the first, mainly because it just wasn't fresh. Still Alan, or just Zachary Galifinakis in general cracks me up. 3/5
Harry Potter 7 pt. II: This was one of the better Harry Potter movies that I can remember. I don't really remember the fine details of the book, but this was a pretty well done movie. The only thing that bugged me was the awful last scene. It was just so terrible and the movie loses a half a point just for that. 3.5/5
The Girl w/ the Dragon Tattoo: I didn't know what to expect going in really because I hadn't read the books, but it was pretty good start to finish. My only complaint was that it kind of drug on after the climax, but they were just setting up the next movie. 4/5
Midnight In Paris: Going in, I knew absolutely nothing about this movie other than it had Owen Wilson in it, but my girlfriend wanted to watch it. What a pleasant surprise. Just Delightful. 4.5/5Comment

Horrible Bosses...took me long enough to get around to watching this, but was it ever worth. Easily one of the best comedies ever. The scene about "wet jobs" was halarious, along with SO MANY OTHERS!Comment
