Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I saw The Amazing Spiderman yesterday, which I really liked (finally!).
Today I saw To Rome With Love, which I also liked. I asked an old lady after the movie if she knew Roberto Benigni, and she had no idea who he was. I told her he is very famous and all that, but she never heard of. I found it interesting.
EDIT:
I accidently wrote Spiderman 3 at first...why would I do that...?!My Specs:

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I watched an old TV movie from 1983 with an interesting top billing cast of Andy Griffith and Johnny Cash. It's based on the true story of the first death sentence in Georgia thanks to the cooperation of black people.
It was a fairly typical film but seeing Andy Griffith as an evil bastard who runs a county in Georgia as if its his kingdom was pretty jarring. He did a fairly good job in the role and was very believable. Cash was the sheriff that puts Griffith to justice and his acting while a bit dry, at least was convincing and showed the dogged determination of his character.
This was nothing special but it was a nice little time waster.
EDIT: Forgot to mention it's called Murder in Coweta County.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Insomnia. Very solid suspense/thriller. Really liked Al Pacino's performance in this.Comment

I haven't seen this movie since it was in theaters, but I bought it on Blu-ray last week and will be checking it out again soon. I did love it the first time.Comment

Yep. At some point this week, I'll pick up the Firefly series for $15 after trade-in. Still trying to find Blade 1 as well.Comment

Contagion
It was a good movie, but I just felt like the ending was kind of anticlimactic for some reasonSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Overall, not a bad movie. Concept was pretty interesting and story was solid. Had some nice little twists that kept me engaged. Effects were done really well too.
Ending was kind of predictable but it left me satisfied. Not a movie that's going to win any awards by any means but if anyone is looking for a solid Sci-Fi thriller, I would recommend seeing it.
Going to watch Super 8 tonight.
Anyone have any thoughts on In Time? Was thinking about picking that up for my flight I have on Thursday.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

One of Pacino's better later period movies and Robin Williams was great in it too. My girlfriend hasn't seen it, maybe I can talk her into watching it with me one time.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Get The Gringo
Started out like it was gonna be horrible, but it turned out okay. Didn't really seem like a Mel Gibson type of role.Originally posted by J. ColeFool me one time that's shame on you. Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Snatch
This was a weird film. Brad Pitt is great in it (This guy just continues to rock. He's really incredibly underrated in my opinion). Not enough Benicio Del Toro, but he's another fine actor.
Entertaining, but requires you pay attention. Lots of stories and characters. Lots of plot.
What bothered me most is it feels like a Tarantino rip-off or wanna-be.
One reviewer put it best: "the movie is not boring, but it doesn't build and it doesn't arrive anywhere."
3/5
Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil
It's a comedy/horror and I think that's the best way to put it. I enjoyed it. Laughed at some moments. Not going to scare you. Probably will only make you laugh when you consider the circumstances.
Kind of reminds me of Shaun of the Dead in terms of production value (Shaun of the Dead is better).
It also has a grown up Laurie Ann Winterbarger (Stephen King's It) and they are fantastic.

Man...rating Snatch at the same level as that tripe? Gotta thumbs down ya on that. Snatch's plot and storylines are not all that hard to follow. Statham was solid as well and the mob boss, Alan Ford as Bricktop:

And unfortunately, I didn't really like the film. I liked it. The Netflix 5 star rating isn't very robust.
You go from liked it to didn't like it. Doesn't give you much space to work with.
Not all 3's are created equal. Snatch is still a Tarantino copy cat even if it's entertaining.
