    Trouble with the Curve

Not Pretty at all. But it has Amy and Clint so I'll forgive them.

      is it that bad?

I like Eastwood but if the movie makes him look old and out of it then it'll be a sad sight to see.

BTW is it supposed to be a comedy? The commercials seem to indicate that.

Old and out of it? Nah, he's still Clint, the bad ***. Basically he's reprise his Grand Torino role but without the racism.

        Comedy? Nah, it's a father/daughter movie, where

          This Means War

My local Redbox finally has the Blu-ray. Tom Hardy will forever be on my winner's list after everything I've seen from him, but specifically after seeing TDKR it's just great to see who "Bane" is without the mask.

It started off far too cornball-ish for my taste, but it definitely settled down when Reese Witherspoon came into the picture (no pun intended). It's exactly as advertised: an action rom-com. There's really nothing to see here per se, but it had a few hilarious one-liners or action moves.

The film seemed to hit its climax with less than twenty minutes to go, so I thought that was kind of weird. Even still, short and sweet was enough for me. As much as I enjoy Mr. and Mrs. Smith, I thought that chunking ten to fifteen minutes out of that could have benefited it as it did for this.

I won't buy it anytime soon, but if I do it would fall in line with about the time I would buy Man on a Ledge. It essentially tailors a similar male audience, all depending on the viewing mood you're in.

            Dredd 3D

Maybe I was just in the mood for a good action movie tonight, but I really enjoyed this one. It's as if the directors/writers just tried to write as much ownage as possible into a 90 minute movie. No slow points at all in the movie, just Dredd and his partner being badasses.

Complete agreement. I put both of those movies in the "fine if you can get 'em on the cheap" category. Pretty good, but certainly not a priority.

Prometheus. Really don't know how to categorize this. I think a bit convoluted. Plus, I don't understand the time frame as only being about 70 years from now? The gadgetry, etc. seemed more advanced than what was in the Alien movie.... which will not be surpassed. Prometheus seemed to do just a bit too much.

Agreed those two movies are rentals or movies you get on the cheap. Heck Man on a Ledge, which I really liked fit into a category similar to Phone Booth which I thought was a stronger film.

When I Google "kolyean prem kathi" I get nothing. When I Google "kolyean prem", it asks if I want to search for Korean perms.

Ditto. Went in with minimal expectations and left very entertained.

Kinda pissed that I didn't realize The Master came out last week though, would have seen that instead, PTA is my favorite director.

Rewatched Napoleon Dynamite and Major League for the first time in a really long while. So quotable.

Yeah, read about this more further. It expanded from 5 to 788 theaters this past week. It's on 1 screen in 7 theaters here in Vegas. Will have to make some time this week or next weekend to check it out.

                              D2: The Mighty Ducks

This might be the best movie ever. Acting was superb, an unpredictable storyline, and great special effects. The Bash Brothers rule, and that "Flying V" is just a thing of beauty.

It's Knuckle Puck Time. I really did like this movie.
