Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Just saw Fast & Furious 6
Great movie. Funny scenes. The action was dope. The next one look interesting. although
Spoiler1. Gisele dying was predictable to me because she wasn't in Tokyo Drift and when her and Han were talking about Tokyo I just knew lol still was sad tho :'(
2. Roman was funny in this film the part where him and Han were talking about getting Gisele a big diamond on her ring because if he doesn't than he has to be bigger somewhere else. Han's responds to that made me lol
3. The end credit scene was alil random. Dont really know how Stathem fits into all this, but im excited to see if Boswell will join the team but if he does it has to still be Lucas Black who plays him or it'll feel weird. Him, Dom, and Brian would be a bomb squad!SpoilerI agree, Gisele dying was predictable.
Roman was so funny, especially that scene.
I'll be pissed if Lucas Black doesn't take Han's place. They just need to connect the dots of Dom showing up at the end of Tokyo Drift, and Statham hitting Han as not an accident.
SpoilerYep, Owen's older brother Ian. My only problem is in Tokyo drift they made it seem as if the white car hitting Han's RX7 was an accident, but now it's seems like it was on purpose, which I don't like.
Regarding 7
SpoilerIt's a shame they want to crank this one out for next summer already. I mean yes I'm dying to see it. But Justin Lin and Rock aren't going to be a part of it.St. Louis Cardinals | Milwaukee Bucks | Los Angeles Rams

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Furious 6
(as the title sequence called it)
Very enjoyable, still heartwarming after six films, and focused more on the cars than last time. Better baddy, functional teamwork, and ridiculous action. This can be a good thing, but there were like five times when I either shook my head, or made a small prayer that Justin Lin won't do that again in an F&F film. People who see it will probably know what parts I am referring to.
The comedy was sparse, but it was certainly there and almost always beside Tyrese, and they were often pretty funny and never tiring. The locations were still glorious, and the set pieces escalated as well. Every character served his/her purpose, even if it took some time for them. I also think there somebody who should have served more of a role in this film, but I was okay without as well.
The only problem I had with this film was expecting some things to happen, just based on the events in the film or the progression of the series overall. Not their fault and not really problematic for this kind of film, but when it is moment-defining for some of the characters, you hope there's a way something can be better kept in the dark.
I was already amped for the next sequel, and they created another parallel that will probably make it better, but I see why some will not be as in favor of what is to come. That won't be most of the OS crowd though.
I don't know if there's a scene after the credits end, but there's a moment that shows up almost immediately after the credits start, so stay tuned for that.
For those wondering, it wouldn't be bad for ya'll to brush up on your F&F4 for some parts in this film as well.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

From Paris With Love - John Travolta is bad *** in this movie. I really like his character and I really enjoyed this film. If you like action this is it. It caught me by surprised but at the same time I wasn't expecting too much out of it.Comment

This Is 40
Had its moments but my goodness this was about 40 minutes too long. Felt like the arguments just went in circles and no real resolution to any of the problems the couple were facing. Melissa McCarthy's cameo and outtake reel at the end of the film were hilarious.Currently Playing:

But Lin is out anyway. James Wan for the next one. All he's done is horror movies.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I couldn't get any sleep last night, so I figured I'd watch a random-*** movie on Netflix that I've never heard of. Came across Jeff, Who Lives At Home with Jason Segel, and I'd figure I'd watch it because Segel is hilarious.
Not really what I was expecting, the end threw me for a surprise, but it was a pretty solid movie. Glad I watched it.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Munich - I really enjoyed this film. Loved the explosions and the effects used when people get shot instead of that cheap effects used for blood from software.
SpoilerThe way they made blood leak out of the naked girl in the robe was sick!Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Hangover 3
I'm a huge fan of the series and loved the first one but was disappointed with the second one. Maybe that's because I love Vegas and they were in Thailand in the second one...
Anyway, I read a lot of very bad reviews so I went into it with low expectations. With that said, I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't as good as the first one but it was a lot better than the second. They went a different route with the story line and the ending pretty much wrapped everything up imo.
If you're a fan of the series, you'll probably like the third installment.***My Teams***

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Fast and the Furious 6. Really enjoyed it. Very good bad guy and plenty of action. Is it possible to have too much action in a F&F movie? Makes sure you stay past the credits.
SpoilerIMO, they did a great job of tying Tokyo Drift into the franchise and leading into FF7. TD always felt too separate to me. Know we know why Han has such a "i don't give a -----" attitude in Tokyo drift and what actually happened in that race that kills him. Also explains Dom's cameo in TD
I'm excited for 7.Last edited by GAMEC0CK2002; 05-26-2013, 05:13 AM.Comment

I'm excited for 7.SpoilerWell I figured Dom showing up at the end was a tip of the cap to Han (after 4 came out), and that it didn't necessarily mean he was in Tokyo for a reason. I just don't like how they are stretching Tokyo Drift to being someone out to kill Han and taking the focus away from DK vs. Sean and Han. So they'll just use Han's death scene and the final race with Dom and Sean, and ignore everything with the DK. Yes I am jacked for 7, and really hope that Sean replaces Han in the crew after the race between Dom and him, but I don't like how 95% of Tokyo Drift is dismissed.St. Louis Cardinals | Milwaukee Bucks | Los Angeles Rams

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Fast and Furious 6.
Someone did some napkin math and calculated the runway they are on would have been around 28 miles long.
Trying to watch Tokyo Drift, and between the country boy accent and the obvious Karate Kid plot I'm having a hard time staying interested.
6 was great though.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
^ I had a big problem with the accent. I think if Lucas Black's accent was normal, I would have liked him much more. His hick teeth weren't very compelling either.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
