Outside of those, I would recommend:

    Inception
    Warrior
    The Lincoln Lawyer
Warrior is a great choice. That movie deserved more recognition.

Since you may have seen some of the other movies listed, here are recent lesser-known movies I recommened: Margin Call, Thin Ice, Win Win, Cyrus, and Cedar Rapids.

Have to agree 100%. Those three are the best I can think of in recent memory. Drive is perhaps my favorite but is not for everyone.

I really want to see Ted. Maybe I'll need to come down with an illness the rest of the week and go see it instead of working.

Win Win bolded for emphasis. Good film. Not gonna sit here and say it will change your life (though it may very well change your life. Stranger things have happened like beavers getting duck bills) but it's a well-written, superbly acted indie- esque film.

Plus it has Paul Giamatti. That's win-win right there.

I'm not much of a movie guy, so the only movie that I've seen recently that I absolutely loved was Cabin in the Woods.

Division 3: Football's Finest. Average at best. Seen this story line before...take a bunch of lovable losers and turn them into winners. Coach Vice, played by Andy Dick, ....lives up to his last name. This makes the language and antics in Superbad seem PG or PG-13.

Just watched American Reunion. Man it was actually pretty good, I had low expectations for it, but it was really good. I figures it would be rushed out, only made to pump a little more money out of the series like the Presents series was. But it was really just as good as American Pie 1, 2, and Wedding. Highly recommend it if you're a fan of the originals.

                        Hostel: Part III

LOL what a weird movie series. I still remember the first one vividly since seeing it in theaters, and not liking it very much (at least not the first half), and the second one I only saw once, and remember not liking it whatsoever. This one was a much different film, though. The "torture chambers," if you will, seems to have been given a different kind of face lift, and if anything you can at least give the film studios credit for keeping the series fresh.

It tries to come packaged with a good amount of twists and turns, but eventually you realize when each one is going to play out. I would say that this sequel is an example of what "straight to home video" feels like, except production value didn't seem cheaper... it just simply seemed to reach a more accessible audience, is all. It was a pretty okay film, I guess. The end got a little weird, but I'll take it over the other Hostel films. The first one has the best "raw" feel by far, though. This one just felt like a PG-13 story with added gore.

If they keep putting them out, I'll keep watching them... but I can't imagine they will be heading in a fanatical direction that would keep people interested for much longer.

Never seen the original, but I enjoyed this. You can't go wrong with the Coen brothers.

I know how you feel. Sometimes during the movie I feel like I am just looking at how much time is left instead of enjoying it. I'm not sure if you mean movies already out on DVD, but I just saw Moonrise Kingdom with my wife and we both loved it. Wes Anderson has a different style than most directors, and he is not for everyone. However, I saw someone say that if you like his movies, you will love this one and if you don't like his movies, you will still like this one.

Also, I just watched "Senna" yesterday on Netflix and I really loved it. I had seen someone describe it as a movie you should definitely see months ago and put it in my instant queue, but never felt like starting it. Netflix even predicted that it would be full stars for me and I still didn't watch it until now (I don't know if I have seen something with that high of a prediction before). I am really glad I did now--and I am not a racing fan at all.

This was actually a damn good movie. The Rock was pretty good, and so was the rest of the cast, generally. Story wasn't complex or anything too special, but the characters had a surprising amount of depth to them.
