John Wick. That's one bad *** mother ****er. The movie is pretty good too.

The score was also right up my alley and one of the best I've heard recently. I didn't realize Marilyn Manson had come out with some new stuff recently.

Just announced they are making a sequel. **** yeah. I think that whole mythology with the hotel can make a lot of great stories.

City of God

One of my favorite movies. Forgot I had it in blu ray so I finally played it. Such a beautiful film. The direction in this film is one my favorites of all time.

Wednesday Night I caught Birdman on Amazon Instant . The performances were spectacular, and the ending was awesome, although I'm not sure I or anybody totally gets it.

By the way Emma Stone is as charismatic as any actress in Hollywood. She just has it.

Wednesday Night I caught Birdman on Amazon Instant . The performances were spectacular, and the ending was awesome, although I'm not sure I or anybody totally gets it.

Watching him and Ed Norton go through their initial scene together was amazing. The whole commentary on celebrity and relevancy, Hollywood, and production was fascinating to me.

I turned to my buddy at the end and said "so, its Michael Keaton's Black Swan." Partly in jest.

Don't be so hard on yourself I too waited a long time. I waited so long partly due to the fact I don't like the Hollywoodization of biographical movies. It was a good movie, but I felt it was Hollywoodized.

That's what I felt. Obviously there's some issues to be worked out, but he got what we wanted regardless of his ultimate outcome.

More like "TV-ized". Something fell short.

Speaking of waiting to see movies, we watched "Saving Mr. Banks" the other night. Don't know what I waited for. Tom Hanks wasn't so believable as Walt, but didn't matter. The overall blend of it was well done.

I too thought it was a little too PG after school special kinda vibe to it. It was a good movie but going into it I thought it would get more detailed about the crap he had to go through and put up with. More scenes like the airport, more on the threats and letters, etc.
